I'm going to Orldando for camp the first week of March, anyone know what the water temps will be like this time of year? Will I need a wetsuit or can I get by with just a shorty or a wetsuit top? thanks

I went last year at the end of February. In the morning we used a shorty. In the afternoon we use just trunked it. The last day though it got down in the 40s at night and we needed a wetsuit that day. I'd bring the wetsuit if you have the space.

Went a couple weekends ago in a shorty wetsuit, should be all you need. Either your shorty or wetsuit top should be fine.
You bringin that sweet boat? It would do well down here...

I went last week. Just a Guru top and trunks. It depends on what you're used to and what you consider to be cold. I water temp was mid 60s.

Thanks for the input...
I consider cold anything below 48 degrees (Mid November on up here), but I doubt I'll need the drysuit down there...
I have an old pair of overall style wetsuit pants and a new short sleeve top, was hopin I could just get a long sleve top for the mornings and just wear boardshorts with both tops... Should I drag the pants just in case?

Ted, the boat I'm leaving behind, but I'm seriously considering moving to Florida come fall (definately moving somewhere warmer than here). Hopefully my dad will sell me the boat when I move (boat prices in this market are much cheaper so if I could I'd be dumb not to buy it from him) - at that point I'll also be looking for a hardcore crew to ride with too...

Right now the water is in the upper 60's, but it really depends on the week. Before x-mas it was in the upper 50's, after new years it was 75 and now its in the upper 60's again. You should just check back closer to time.

sp0tts --

Which camp you going to?

Also all you will need is a heater shirt and trunks. You might not even need the heater shirt.

agreed vance. It was 80 in Tampa today - I still wore a 2/1 with the water not quite warmed up, but could have easily worn just shorts and a heater shirt.

It will be warmer more regularly by the first week of March.

David --

I don't even own a wetsuit!

Vance, I'm going to the World Wakeboard Center.
Actually coming down for the whole month of March. Can't wait, this cold weather is driving me nuts.

Any suggestions for what to do on weekends?
I'm guessing I'll probally be too sore to wakeboard.

I'll be there on the 3rd through the 6th of March, coming to hang with Trevor. See you there spotts.
