I know this boat is good for wakeboarders, but we also have waterskiers in our family. Does anyone know whether the boat is good for skiers? Thanks.

Suprsingly, the 24SSV isn't a bad ski wake compared to the size of the boat. I'd even say that it beats the 21V and new 22SSV ski wake. There is a big difference however in the ski wake depending on which engine you put in it. If you want to ski, get the 340 hp and not the 8.1. The 8.1 is much heavier and the ski wake won't compare to the ski wake with a 340. Put the wakeplate most of the way down and put just a bit of water in the front bag and you're good to go at 26 mph and above.

I think it would depend on what kind of skiing they are doing. If they just free ski, then it will probably do fine. If they run the course, you will probably want something smaller, or even a direct drive.

Scott,

The 24 SSV is built as a wake specific boat. But yes you can ski behind it. If your looking for a comp ski wake then look elsewhere and definately a direct drive.
