anyone have any tips on doing these. i tried a couple, and got to where im sliding backwards, but i cant get myself back up.

so you're dragging on the water with your head/arms toward the boat and the bottom of the board is facing away??? if so, you just need to pull the handle to your hip...this should bring you back around to where your board is between you and the boat...facing forward.

(Message edited by ironj32 on August 28, 2007)

you need to make sure your board is way out of the water, and let go with your back hand then pull the handle to the opposite shoulder to pull you the rest of the way around. if you are left foot forward, let go with your right hand and pull the handle to your right shoulder, opposite for right foot forward

yea ive been trying these and get no where close. does the boat need to be goin faster than normal or do you just have to be cutting really hard or?

i think you can do it w/o cutting out, you just have to make sure you lift your board out of the water.

At wakeboard camp I had them working with me on this move. I didn't get it but close. I ended up over spinning it. You do need to cut out to the heel side when you do it. It helps to be going 1-2 mph faster and to have a smooth life jacket on. It is really a move that requires good rythm almost like an ole 360. As crazy as it sounds it really helps if you practice on the trampoline. Lean back against the rope as if you are on a hard heelside cut but with your knees really bent. It is kind of a rolling motion to go onto your back, but at same time you really need to keep the rope down at your hips. The board goes behind you as drop down onto your back but you use this momentum to spin it around. As the board goes by you lift it out of the water and really push the handle down. When the board is directly behind you (not in the water) it is import the handle is down low on your body because your upper body will be causing a lot of drag and continue the spin. You can feel it on the tramp like you can on the water but the water is tricker. The two times I came around and over spun it the trick felt effortless. I thought it would take a lot of strength but not at all if you do it right. It is cool feeling I just cant get the timing right when to drop the board back down.

Skiing made me board,
Lyle
Chrome Dome

bringing the handle to your HIPS is key.

im with david^^^^,does anyone have pics or vid of this trick.

it's when you cut out really hard heelside and then basically lay down on the water and spin a 360 on your back, then you use your momentum to stand back up.
