perfect pass dbw not engaging?

got pp stargazer on my 07 nauti, although I use the paddle wheel since im on a river. It is a dbw one tho. Its starting to not engage, maybe every 5th pull or so. no beep, but if you back off the throttle, drop below the speed and then do it it will. seems to be based on how hard you are on the throttle.

I havent messed with my settings since I first set it up several seasons ago.

any ideas?

What mode are you in? I sometimes have this problem in waterski mode if you hit the throttle hard and then back off a bit as you get close to the desired speed. Stargazer works better for me if you hit it and forget it, it engages better. But, I would call PP, they have great customer service. Let us know what they say.

may be off topic, but why use waterski mode. Not being a smartass, just really want to know.

I 2nd calling PP. That intermittent problem may be voltage related via a connection. Check for a loose or abraided wires at the gold resistor.
