Harley is riding in Pro mens this year, he might make the top 20

jaybee 04-23-2009 4:42 AM

to Moyes comment. I personally would love to see Rusty take it this year.

wakeviolater 04-23-2009 2:22 PM

cool...thanks luker.

headhunter 04-23-2009 4:41 PM

Games started off with a bang!! Good stuff today. Hotter than hades in Otown, but water was nice. ToeJam is running now.

wakedad33 04-23-2009 4:52 PM

Gordie I think Jimmy will edge out Harley for Rookie of the year, better on the rails. You guys going to Spring ride?

hoosairboy 04-23-2009 7:11 PM

Is Harley doing the PWT Jr Men or Pro? Wake Games is different- there's no reason to ride Jr Men. It doesn't count for anything and there's no money.

What are the results? Any upsets? I heard Harley, Lariche and Sharp were all in the same heat.

tommyc 04-23-2009 7:23 PM

Anybody have today's result. Ben said Tony Carrol moved on.

kneeboarddad 04-23-2009 7:23 PM

I heard dean Smith got knocked out. Robbie Carter, Alberts, Lidberg I remember hearing made it. Austin won his heat. Larich and Harley made it thru and knocked out Chad. Tholander made it. Nick Weinicker made it. Corey Bradley and Oliver Derome. Can't remember others. Nick Jones did not.

headhunter 04-23-2009 7:24 PM

King of Wake has results up now. Sharp got robbed!!

wake2wake_66 04-23-2009 7:56 PM

Where did you find the results?

04-23-2009 8:13 PM

http://www.allisports.com/king-of-wake/results

bill_c 04-23-2009 9:26 PM

Harley is riding in Pro's at the Pro Tour and there probably isnt any money there for him yet, I think Harley would be happy to finish in the top ten overall this season. remember he is only 15

liquidmalibu 04-23-2009 9:58 PM

how did josh sanders and nick weinacker get away with having a three man heat when others had five?
does that mean people didnt show up or what.....

kaesen 04-23-2009 11:23 PM

great heat positions.
heat 10 was a doosey! haha

kneeboarddad 04-24-2009 4:00 AM

The seeding and placement of the heats is all done by the numbers. Chad was the highest seed yesterday because he was the highest on the KOW rankings from last year that didn't get a bye. Jimmy's rank was very low because he only rode in one KOW tournament last year- Jr men doesn't count, and Harley didn't ride in any. So the computer saw them as two of the lowest points and that is where they ended up. Too bad for Chad. The system prevents anyone from hankering with the heats. I know I use to wonder why it looked like they stacked some heats and others were pretty easy but it is all by the numbers. The heat of three would usually be the result of no shows but they usually rearrange that before the start.

jswake 04-24-2009 8:45 AM

haha kaesen theres not much you can do about that

ttrigo 04-24-2009 8:49 AM

Zane moved on?! way to rock it for the "old" dudes!

svt600 04-24-2009 8:51 AM

my buddy austin hair qualified!! im stoked now! hope he does good!

wakeworld 04-24-2009 9:36 AM

Crazy to see Scott Hussey out there. He was the first pro to ever invite me onto his boat when I first started doing WakeWorld back in '99! It was a murdered out MB...even the seats were black! They were all covered with neoprene. He was a man before his time!

Very surprised and bummed to see that Dean Smith and Chad Sharpe didn't make it in. But awesome to see Corey Bradley, Kyle Alberts, Kyle Rattray, Austin Hair and even old man Zane Schwenk win their heats!

wakeparent 04-24-2009 10:22 AM

Yes Congrats Tony!!

hoosairboy 04-24-2009 3:05 PM

I am glad ali is part of the wakeboard scene but I wish the writers knew the sport better. I hate it when they say so and so scored a 100, the highest of the day. That does not mean they had the best ride. They simply won each category in their heat. It is quite possible they may have had the 10th best run of the day and the best run scored a 90 in another heat but had better competition. I know it is knit picking but still.
