the letter "u" came off my transome somehow, so i guess all of those behind my boat will think that I drive a Natique. Anyone have an idea where I can get a replacement? Local dealer doesn't have any leftovers unfortunately. Not a big deal, but wouldn't mind getting it replaced...

Take the whole thing off and then get a new one.

hmmm...why would i want to take off the letters that are perfectly fine? The letters are individually placed on the transom.

Check with your dealer or any CC dealer. It happens from time to time and some dealers have a letters left doing someone elses repair.

You could take a long piece of paper and put it over the letters and scribble over the logo with a pencil then take it to a guy who does die cut stickers so he can match the lettering.

The reason JONb suggested that is that CC doesn't make "individual" letters... the entire set of letters ("NAUTIQUE") comes as a single set on a single sheet. You could buy a whole new decal and just cut out the "u", but then you run the risk of non-matching (due to UV fading, etc) lettering or unaligned lettering.

Unless you are totally opposed to replacing the whole thing, it would be my recommendation as well. I dealt with lettering issues OFTEN while working at a local MC dealership, and I always found it easiest and cleanest to replace the whole thing.

...I guess you could also just leave the "U" off altogether and have a New-York accent Nautique!

my boat is covered when not in use, so I don't think the letters have likely faded much. I think I'll just keep trying the dealer until they possibly have one available. Until then...the Natique it is...

Tommy, is this a new boat? Still under warranty?

I have an extra "MasterCraft" Transom Graphic you can have, lol....J/K your dealer should be able to help.

Ian, the boat's an '02, so unfortunately no longer under warranty.

Byrd, maybe i'll put that MC graphic on the back, I'm sure i'd confuse a few people on the delta. i am a former MC owner, so I guess it could be a tribute to my former boat. I do always have a special place for my first ride...Prostar 205...

I keep losing letters off my Nautique. Personally, I think this is a defect from Correct Craft, I don't think they clean the fiberglass well enough before they stick the pinstripes and letters down.

I lost the first letter weeks after I got the boat. The dealer got me a new sheet of "Air Nautique". So far I have been able to pull off just the letters I needed. I just hope I don't lose another "T"....

Rod, like you said, Probably not thoroughly cleaning the hull from compound/release agent/wax before putting the letters on.
