I think the company that made them is out of business.

anyone know of any for sale then, are they a solid unit or what?

Metcraft towers suck. They didn't go out of business because they were building a good product. The Illusions were hit or miss. A lot of guys had issues with their bushings going bad all too often, & cracks in the fiberglass because they are supported by only two legs. Plus the spring mechanism under the gunnels would be a nightmare to retrofit into a boat.

there was one for sale on portland craigs list would not be my choice.look into samson sports there towers are the best imo.welds powdercoat and design is way better than anything out there and the tower makes or breaks the boat

For what kind of boat. We have one for sale. 2005 tower w/legs made for a 23LSV with a 100" beam.

trying to find something 97 sport nautique, the illusions looked edgy and liked the reverse arch. Didnt want to go straight for th FCT 2 tower like they all have, maybe if i could find the FCT 3 that would be nicer.
