looking forward to getting out there this weekend for the first session of the season. I've been watching "The Book", and i'm looking to incorporate the training regimen they lay down in the foundation. My thought is to have my driver start out pulling me @ like 13mph, then tick it up a few mph every few minutes, to allow me to practice the edging techniques and surface spins at a lower speed. <BR> <BR>Does this make sense? Is that a decent plan? I don't want to start out at 22mph smacking my face right off the bat...

sounds good but i would start out a little higher mph like 16

that is how i start each run. my switch has improved a lot as well as my edge. Joe is right on going 16 too.

cool. definitely prefer the softer falls...especially when starting off. I'm really hoping to better my edging skills this summer.

I personally would just try to mix it in while I ride. Every time I cut out break it loose holding the slide till you can slide as long as you want. Then try to spin with a handle pass. As your edging control improve so will the surface spins. Going to slow can be tiring.

I would bump the speed to 18 at least. 16, is too low, and will take more effort to do the tricks that you desire.

I think that trying the slides helps with board control as well. just my .02 cents
