Switching from my severance to slingshot?
Currently rocking a company severance but im really intrigued by the ballistic series. Also are some great deals on blems right now on ebay. Anyone previously rock the severance and make a switch or can offer me any advice? I loved my severance but sometimes it just feels right for a change.

no cable just boat btw

Check out the Hooke, I've heard loss of good things about that deck. The Lyman also uses the atomic c core with urethane sidewalls like the ballistic series.
When I was looking at the severance I was told the Recoil was basically the same board. I think they've made some changes to the core though
The Hooke is the sane shape just a more aggressive pop
Seems like the newer models would be a bit faster with the bottom features
You will definitely generate more speed with the channels, from what I've heard that board is a fun ride.
Anyone know how much stiffer the hooke will be than the severance?
OG'er - I assume?
I would have too think the Hooke will be a bit stiffer with the atomic c core, but I'm riding the Lyman and I still get good flex from it. I would bet that the Hooke he's more flex than the Lyman which would be plenty for me.

Yup!

Slingshot No Mo
I've been riding a Severance for a couple of seasons and have loved it. For the very last ride of 2011 my friend convinced me to give his new 2011 Slingshot Response a try. I love it. I was flying. The thing had wings. I went right out and bought one. Now I'm waiting 'til Spring to get it wet!
