Who is the Diego Shaw of wake riding?
 

I love watching internet clips of Diego's riding because he goes huge, but I'm pretty new to the cable scene and I don't really understand who this guy is. All I know about him is that he rides for CTRL.

Could y'all enlighten me as to what Diego's place in the sport is and what he's known for? Where did he come from and how did he become known? Did he invent any tricks? I saw a crazy clip of him trying a triple-S, but I don't think he ever landed it. Is he a contest killer or more of a freerider? Who is his crew and where is his home cable?

I know the boat guys really well, so I thought a comparison like this would help me get the picture.

Diego is a rad dude from South Florida! And he is one of the best Cable riders in the world. He is going to school and devoting a lot of time to that, but you can find him shredding almost every day at Ski Rixen. He is very down to earth guy and will give anyone pointers at the cable! I've always got my eye out for him at McCormick's. He showed up to drop an inside double-S to blind at Triple Crown IIRC, but I haven't seen him since.

He's a super nice guy who can do EVERYTHING. He has alway had time to chat and pass on tips to an old fart like myself.
He really exemplifies the whole scene at the Rixen. A bunch of down to earth rippers with zero attitude.
