Any updates on the cable park in Sac?
 

I know it is close. When will it be officially opening? Will there be annual memberships? Cost?

The park in woodland is still waiting on permits from the city but the one in Roseville(Stillwater lakes) is coming along nicely I hear. I tried to check it out the other day but you can't see anything from the road.

Funny in this economy you would think Woodland would want the tax revenue.
I think the E.I.S done the board just needs to vote?

The one in Roseville is going slow and Dry from what I have been told but he then said they should be done in the fall. Hopefully they put in some UNIT rails!

I'd almost given up hope for a real cable in Cali. Man I would be so friggin stoked if one of those happen.

When I was at The Boarding School 2 weeks ago, I got to meet Patrick who is helping to build the Roseville park. He told me at that time that they were just filling the lakes and it would be good to go in about 3 weeks time. Sounds like we're almost there.

What's the name of the Roseville park? location?

Wake Island off Baseline and Velocity Island (Woodland) are the names of the parks I have heard.

Any idea if you can go check out the one off Baseline? I was going to be in the area and would like to see what they got going there. Sounds like its pretty close to completion and I'd like to see some towers in CA!!

There's a boat on stillwater in google maps

I went by the other day and there is a locked gate at the road with a big no trespassing sign. You could park on the road and walk around it at your own risk I guess but I couldn't see anything in terms of cable from the road so unless someone knows the owners...

From what I heard the cable is up and running and there are obstacles in place. Grand opening is supposed to be mid October. Second hand info so take it as such. Sure hope it's accurate.

Someone on the malibucrew forum said that the grand opening is set for October 18th.

Also, if anyone updated their iPhone to iOS6, the new map application shows the lake split in two and with a big island on the cable side. That island is going to keep it glassy with all the riders going non stop. Can't wait!

Weird that it so far along yet so hush hush. Perhaps they don't want to jinx anything before the vote. Cali has a history of stopping anything fun:(

I'll be up there right away when they open. I'd much rather drive 5 hours than fly 5 to another state.....

A friend that presented last night said it passed Woodland city council....thats a step in the right direction!!

I was confused for a while. Thought three were going in, but it seems what everyone is calling Roseville is Wake Island in Pleasant Grove.

I have heard Wake Island is going to open but with no obstacles?
Can anybody confirm or deny this.....seems a bit weird to open just for air tricks.........Hope I am misinformed.

wait, so Wakeisland in pleasant grove is different from the "Stillwater" facility reported to be in Lincoln?

edit: nvm.... it is the same as Wakeisland, not in Lincoln :(
