Globe impellers

HI

I have a mercruiser v-drive 350 black scorpion. I want to change the impeller. I made a search on this forum, and globe part number 2002 comes up. Can't find them on the net tho.

Where did you get yours? Are they supplied with the o-ring for the pump housing?

thanks

I know that Defender can get them, but they don't stock it you have to special order it.

Asked them already. The impeller they suggested me is universal a doesn't look like the merccruiser one..

Anyone changed his impeller on a black scorpion engine for a globe?

Why dont you want the mercruiser one? Thats the great thing about owning a mercruiser engine. Parts are everywhere for them.

I heard globes a way more reliable and last longer. I don't mind spending the extra money if it means i have less chances of getting stranded on the water.

Interesting

Many of us have used the Globe impellers and after two seasons they show no signs of wear. They aren't however, shipped w/ the gasket they state too many variations. IMHO worth the extra cost.

Go to themalibucrew.com and do a search for Globe. There was a link to a place that sells them.

Defender has them, Defender part# 301009=Globe part# 2002 They stock them now at $37.99 ea

wake_upppp 04-01-2010 6:07 PM

Yeah I found them on Defender but I came up with part # 2001. Is it supposed to be 2002? For a 06/07 blackscorp?

wakebrdjay 04-02-2010 5:42 AM

Yes 2002 is for an 07 Black Scorp. per Globe's web site.I think it is determined by the serial number, part # 2002 is for Black Scorp. serial # 0W690000 and up.The part # I posted above is for a Globe # 2002999

I'm so confused right now.

I came up with part number from MERCRUISER 47-862232A2
If i compare them with the globe part 2002 on defender.com, they don't look alike at all... Wonder if it's the right part number?!?!

wakebrdjay 04-03-2010 4:09 PM

I ordered a 2002 from Defender today,I'll let you know by the end of the week if it's the right one.
