Back Roll Help

So I've never been that great of a wakeboarder, I can get wake to wake, I can 180, I can 360 but doing an invert has always been something else behind a boat. I'm a snowboarder and I can rodeo and backflip when I'm snowboarding but I haven't gathered the balls to attempt a back roll just yet behind a boat. But before I do, is it much different from a snowboarding backflip? Are there any things I should know before I try one? My rope is 65', riding speed usually around 25mph and I ride behind a mastercraft x2.

Why do you ride such a short rope at such a high boat speed?

Agreed, either try slowing down or letting your line out. That has to be super inconsistent riding.

I have an 08 X2 and I ride the same length, except at 21-22mph. The reason I ride about 5 ft shorter is because that's where the wake's just about right on the X2. In 08 MC only put in about 500lbs stock and then upped it in 09 to like 900lbs. IMO, that's about the perfect length given the ballast...

I agree, just slow down a bit. 65' is fine for this trick. That is probably a good spot on your wake too. I'm a 21-22 kind of guy myself.

perfect pass probably isn't calibrated correctly. check that 25mph on a GPS.

Agreed^^^ check that for sure. Your 25 might be slower than you think.
