Hey, I've tried about 8 of these and I've lost some of my fear to do it... I havent finished the rotation yet, all the times I've landed on my back, havent seen any video of me doing it, but the other person that was in the boat told me i let go of the handle very early. I searched and saw some mex roll advice and someone said that to prevent from having the handle yanked from your hands to square your shoulders with the wake. Does that mean to put them in line with the wake? as in a tantrum?

Any advice is welcome!!! Thanks!

P.S: I also tried regular backrolls, but I just cant seem to get that rotation! I get too freaked out I cant even really try it... I'm doing better with the mex, so I want to stick to it until I can land it!

same thing kept happening to me.. i still havent landed it yet but ive been looking up on it all winter and people say to get the full rotation and not land on ur back try keeping the handle at ur waist. itll give u more momentum and flip u faster. also try to get a progressive edge when u go into it. that might work?

Can you do the backroll and can you do the tantrum?

Starting out dont cut out to hard for this trick. You want to have a hard edge when you hit the wake. The key to the backroll is to keep the handle close into you hip this will keep your rotation moving. So cris just focus on keeping the handle towards you front hip. Ride all the way up the wake! a big mistake people make is to rush this trick and then they dont get the rotation. When you hit the wake look towards your lead shoulder. Where ever you look is where u are going flip. Hope this helps keep me posted it will take time so dont get frustrated.

Usually if you are haveing trouble with the rotation with any trick, your hands, arms, or elbows are stretched out. Keep your elbows in and handle at your waist. I havent landed it yet either, but that is what was explained to me. I hope it helps

i was having trouble with my rotation to. a good tip that i learned for getting full rotation on any new flip was to just wait a second before i would normally throw it. really concentrate on the feel of your wake once you fell it scoop you up then throw it. i was just throwing it to early. as you approach the wake just think to your self to throw it a second later than normal. now i just have trouble over rotating new flips but i can correct that on the next attempt. hope this helps
