Finally got some pics of the wake with my new 06 Enzo with the switchblade. I dont know if the pictures do it justice but I will tell you that the blade added a good foot to the wake. The first couple of pics were with just no ballast and no blade. The wake was pretty mushy. We then deployed the blade and added approx 400lbs of ballast and this was the result. A very clean wake that could be ridden a good 15 feet back. Let me know your opinions. Thanks

those last pics look great! just imagine it with a little more weight
i just put bigger back in my XLV last night and can't wait to see the new wake!

norcal72 04-28-2006 12:06 PM

i agree. I am going to do the custom sack from fly high and weigh the whole side down. That should be the way to go.

Nice looking boat Marc. Yeah, you'll find the "enzo sac" will make that wake THE best of any boat currently on the market.

HEY! Where's my invite?!

I will call you when I get the new sack and you can show us how it is done

Marc,
Nice wake. I don't think the wake at Tullock last weekend for the Centurian spring break wakesurfing championships was that good. They only had a small amount of weight added. Many complaints from the riders. Was Folsom that cold that you needed a drysuit? I will go in Jeff's place anytime.
norcal72 04-28-2006 7:40 PM

Acually no. The water was 66 degrees and I had a shorty but I just bought the drysuit and wanted to test it out. I will use the shorty next time. The wake looks even better in person. Once I get the enzo sack I will set up a trip with you and Jeff and we will hit it.

Nice Boat. I did not think I could be jealous after I bought my 05 VLX but yours has got me thinking. Of course being a Raiders fan the colors are the perfect choice. Congrats. Mike

Thanks Mike. I am a bit biased as it is my boat but I agree, the boat is better than I expected. I think Centurion has really stepped it up this year. I am looking forward to a great year of boating. This switchblade really is a great device. Having the ability to change the shape of the wake while underway is amazing. You can really get a real steep wake which is great for surf style and then mellow it out for a good skim style. It is quite cool. Take care.

Marc,
Looking forward to it.

sweeeeeeeeeeeeet!! The Enzo wake is just way too good for wakesurfing by nature. With that custom sack in there, it will be absolutely PERFECT. Good luck!

Well we just got back from riding, our first time out this year. We also have an 06 Enzo, our dealer is going to add a switchblade to ours (We are really excited). Today we had the stock ballast and a 400 lb sac in left rear locker and about 6 people. It was throwing a pretty good size wake, really steep and not very long. Right now we have the bennet trim tab and never really messed with it. If you lower the tab down will it lengthen the pocket and make the wake a little less steep? Good looking boat Marc thanks for the pictures!

norcal72 04-29-2006 3:04 PM

When I put the switchblade all the way to 7, which is the highest setting, the wake gets very steep. Almost to the point of to steep. When i leave the blade at around 4 or 5 it lengthens the wake out and allows us to ride much further back. The other thing that will help you is getting weight up front. The more weight you put up front, the longer the wake will get. That is what is so nice about the blade is that you can just adjust it on the fly and it really changes the shape of it. Let me know what you think once you get yours. I hope this helped.

We just rode the Enzo in the AZ contest and a few observations about that boat without the ENZO sac. No reflection on your choice or yours boat Marc.

If you look at Marc's pic's with the switchblade down you'll see a lip riffle...it actually starts to curl and makes the lip very soft. easy to punch through and you effectively lower the height by 8 inches to a foot. So a 3 foot wave is maybe 2-1.5 feet effective. Again, without the Enzo sac.

Also if you look at the second to the last pic, you'll see that the wake curls pretty early. Most folks that have this boat with the blade run with PP at 12+...FAST. Lengthens the pocket but makes it a bit tough to pump into the wake.

I noticed that when the folks from Inland rode with us they had us boost the speed, they are used to riding like that.

I have ridden behind a bunch of boats and IMO, the Enzo could never be considered steep in any configuration, Marc. One of the things that I REALLY like about this boat is that the transition is a nice blend.

Still had the spray coming up the spine, although it wasn't as prounced as at the World's.
