Is there a general rule about weight placement and how it changes the wave shape? <BR>Can you you put more in the front to lengthen the pocket and more in the back to increase the height? <BR>We drive on a curve to keep the wake clean &amp; increase the push, is that in an indication that we need to change the weight setup? <BR> <BR>This is what we have now and I'm not sure whats possible with this boat. <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/559019/662876.jpg" alt="Upload">

As a general rule I would put all the weight in the back to start and then either move or add weight forward or increase speed to make the pocket longer. Is that the Sanger?

Darren, I think my wake cleaned up more by adding list than it did by driving in a curve. My kids can stay up if I'm on an outside curve, as long as I've got the boat healed over enough.

Darren, <BR> <BR>We don't have the option to drive on a curve, as we ride on a relatively narrow river. On our V-210 we have found that by moving people around in the boat, we can fine tune the wake. Some weight in the bow does seem to help lengthen the pocket for us. Also play with the speed for the final tweaking to your liking.

Yes, its the V210. We were pretty happy with the wave, all 5 of us first time riders managed to get going without the handle which was cool. Driving in a curve is fine for us because there are a number of little bays off the main trunk where we can drive around in without destroying the lake for everyone else. We were driving @ 10.3 and carrying about 800 in the front and 800 in the back corner plus 3 people in the cnr and the driver. Its a super convenient set-up for us because thats pretty much our std wakeboard ballast system with the lead moved from the front to back cnr and the drivers side tank emptied. <BR> <BR>There seemed to be lots of push for me but as we haven't done much I wasn't really sure what is possible as far as length of pocket &amp; size of wave.

That sounds like a ton of weight up front when compared to the weight you have in the back. <BR> <BR>I'm not sure how it is in a Sanger, but on my Supra things started to go downhill after I went above about 400 pounds in the front.

Darren, <BR>I surf behind a V210 too. The hardest part of wave tuning for me is my crew is not always the same. It seems like I get ballast all figured out for a perfect wave and then the wave is different the next time out. When the wave is really good I tell everyone in the boat, that they have to come out every time I surf and sit in the exact same place in the boat. <img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/kiss.gif" border=0>

Darren, Your wave looks good! I ride at 10 MPH. I have the Fly High Wedge sacks in the rear lockers and a front ballast bag in the ski locker. The rear bags hold around 350 lbs each and the front holds around 400 lbs. We fill the rear side that we are surfing on. I get the best wave when I put about 200 lbs of lead bars under the side seat. We usually have 2 or 3 people in the boat. My driver often sits up by the windshield on the passenger side, so everyone is on one side. He steers with his foot. We ride early in the morning or late evening, when we have the water to ourselves. Here I am surfing in Montana a couple of summers ago. I think there were 2 kids and 3 adults in the boat but no lead since we towed the boat 12 hours to get there. The picture might be deceiving because it was taken from up high. I think that considering the size of our boats, you can get a great wave. I like my V210 because I can afford to take it on the road for 3 or 4 weeks every summer and ride as many places as I can. I have found that you can get too much weight in it. My wave isn't as good when I have 10 people on board. I think your 210 wave looks really fun. <BR> <BR>We have a 230, and we use the ballast tanks, then put pretty much all of the extra weight (sacs, or lead if we have it) in the back corner on the side we are riding. We don't really mess around with the front, cause that center ballast takes care of the length. Too much in the front and it totally mellows the wave out. it makes it super small and long. . I don't know about those 210s, but I don't know anybody who really messes with the front on a Sanger or in general unless you want it real small and long. I'm not sure 100% though. <BR> <BR>But, I'm sure there probably are some better ways out there, but for now our wave pretty darn good. <BR> <BR>Oh ya, We've also found that Sangers (at least the 230 and 237) need A LOT of weight becuase of how wide they are to get them leaning. <BR> <BR>And to close, can i just say that I LOVE those new 210s.
