Flash triggers, affordable alternative
I was shooting a night snowboard rail jamb last week and meet a guy using this set up and loves it. I did some research and he sent me this review. He has been using them for 8 months now without any issues. For 44.00 shipped from amazon I got one and so far it works excellent. I plan on giving it a good workout this weekend.
Probably not for the pro's on this board but for the hobby guy at 1/4 the cost of a Pocket Wizard it seems like a affordable alternavite. Just passing it along. Link to review. http://ishootshows.com/2010/08/18/re...lash-triggers/ |
I have seen those and seem to work good most of the time. Great value. My Elinchrom studio lights have El Skyports built-in so I went that direction and they are bulletproof. They run $99/each. I can't think of a single time they didn't work. My Canon ST-E2 used to be MISERABLE outdoors.

there's a ton of no-name triggers out there. i've had mine for a couple years now and no probs. i still want to get a pw since it will let my cam sync w/ the flash up to 1/1000th. all the rest sync at 1/200th to 1/250th.

I use the CST trigger and CSRB reciever. Never had any problems. I rented some pocket wizards to use in the philippines to remote fire my camera and gave them a go with my flash and I honestly could not tell any difference. You just don't look as cool with the smaller triggers as you would with pocket wizards...;-) |
I've been running these for awhile....actually about to pick up another set.... http://www.gadgetinfinity.com/produc...cat=317&page=1
