I am unfamiliar with Malibu's but how does this boat compare to the Wakesetter series. It has a tower, v drive, sterio, 23' boat in great condition, the larger motor, with less 100 hours.
I can pick it up for 30k is that an ok deal.

go ask this question at www.malibuboatowners.com

VTI is not the correct designation.

I believe he means the suncape LSV. I don't think Malibu makes the sunsetter in a v-drive. How about it, is it a good deal? I think it has 40 hours. Anybody wakeboard behind the boat?

I have the same hull as 21' sunscape. (the sunsetter vlx for 2001 has the same hull. all other years have the non diamond hull) It makes a great crossover boat. The ski wakes are great above 30 (they suffer below) and the wakeboard wake is great with a little weight and the wedge. I use 500 lb sac in the locker and the wedge. With a few people in the boat the wake is great. I don't have a lot of experience behind other boats for comparison, but have ridden quite a bit behind a direct drive Supra Launch. The luanch has more ballast and when loaded is about the same boarding wake as my vdrive w/ wieghting as above. We run about 22mph and full line which I guess is 70'

Any 2002 V-drive Malibu with less than 100 hours and in "great" condition is worth $30K. If you post is correct, you better snatch that up!
