wat one sould i get marius, substance, subjekt,or parks
Marius is the only out of those with soft landings.
I had heard bad stories of the Substance having hard landings, but I rode my '06 this weekend and it had great landings. Maybe it's just me.

hmm your from Orcutt eh? Head up to Paso Robles and X-treme Marine. Pat will hook you up with a demo Marius or Absolute. Depending if you like 3-stage or continuous rocker you will like one of those. Esteem in Pismo/SLO also has boards. My home lake is Lopez too.
Absolute and Marius land much softer than the Substance.

lopez local haha thanks guys
of the boards you mentioned above, the marius has the softest landings. although i like the substance a lot, its landings is its worst characteristic.
substance lands hard in the flats on regular jumps but raley landings are soft and fast. Also wake to wake on a substance is not that bad of landings. never ridden absolute but the transcend has good landings

Will hard landings make it more difficult to land certain tricks or will it just reek havoc on your knees over time? Is it more that hard landings affect your abilities, body, or both? Thanks.
I don't know if you have considered the LF PS3 but it had tons of pop, pretty light and I thought soft landings. I don't land in the flats much though.

CWB generally has nice landings
