Winching is a go!

For the past few years I've had the idea to build a winch, but it never came together. Than this past autumn I started building it, with some help, and it's finally had it's inaugural test run. I missed the whole winter (Skiing/Snowboarding) due to troubleshooting, but we took out a longboard and it was rad to say the least.
I couldn't figure out how to embed this, but this is the video:

We were going at maybe 35% throttle in that run.

Design Process:
(I pulled some ideas from Newman's winch on NYspeed)
Rather than have a live axle, I opted for a dead axle with the bearings in the hubs. I went for a smooth rounded profile because I thought square was boring and ugly, not to mention heavy. It does have a safety cover for the clutch and spool, they're just removed at the moment.

Build Process:
-I designed everything on Autodesk Inventor, this was probably Mk8
-I machined a number of the parts at school (Hubs, framework, axle)
-Bent tubing was outsourced
-Sheet metal was outsourced to a laser-cutter and water-jet
-Welding was done at my friends shop by him mostly
We then painted everything. and assembled it.

Specs:
-9hp Honda clone
-600' rope from Bullet Lines
-Clutch from Bullet Lines
-3 spool diameters; 6" 8" 10"
-Top speed of 65kph (40mph) with gear ratio of 35:10 (I think)

Materials:
Most of it was made out of steel, however the spool walls are 6061 Alu, and the sprocket and brake are 304SS. The hubs are also made out of steel.

If you have any questions or want to see a particular picture of it, feel free to ask.

Very nice, sleek and compact looking.
Have you used it yet?
Can I ask how much you have into it?

How does the throttle work on these?
