Paul, don't forget Lake Ozark has more shoreline than California, but I do agree and laugh every time I board an ocean going vessel here (boat with a 300 mile range on a 92 mile lake)...it kind of feels like the old west the way I can be out on a kayak and see a jonboat, a 60' yacht, and a 150 mph catamaran sharing the same water that I wakeboard above during the weekdays.

That said, I would be on it every chance I could!! I frequent Table Rock, and there are more and more yachts every year. I remember when I was four, there were hardly any boats at all!

Dave, we love Pateros too. We go every Memorial and 4th of July -- this is year 6 or 7, we've lost count. The currents weren't too strong and water level was good for the whole weekend... so was the weather, so we were on the water a ton. Great weekend. <BR> <BR>Evan, thanks for the compliment... I'm stoked about my new ballast. I upgraded to 2200 lbs all plumbed and hidden -- which is about as much as you can do in a walk-through Supra!

Cal, <BR> <BR>What is the first rule of Pateros again... <BR> <BR>Pateros is a far away private lake in south eastern New Mexico. Sure it's a great place to ride but it's at least five hundred miles from anything inhabited. Not to mention the lake is infested with leaches. <BR> <BR>Right?

The boat is a Supra Sunsport 22V walk-through, which means no playpen bow. <BR> <BR>Rear: 650 x 2 <BR>Center locker: Stock 400-lb bag <BR>Under bow seats: 500-lb Fly High integrated bow sack, filled with a Jabsco reversible ballast puppy pump. <BR>Total: 2200 lbs. <BR> <BR>We had about 8 people in the boat, two in the bow and the rest scattered around the boat. I used a 30-gallon garbage can to drain the integrated bow sack into in order to figure out how much water was up there. Filled it to the top once, and almost to the very top a second... 500 lbs under my bow seats. I was blown away it would hold that much. <BR> <BR>Thanks for the props, guys.

Dtb - leaving work in 5 minutes to head to Table Rock for Thurs./Fri. and then Bull Shoals on Saturday (taking out friend's new 'bu)...I made it through the winter and am now enjoying the seasonal migration to Lake Ozark but the water gets too choppy on weekends.
