2011 Pro Wakeboard Tour
Looks like they have already scheduled one tour stop for next season. I found this will looking around on Google.
Lake Tye Park 14954 Fryelands Boulevard Monroe, WA Friday, July 8, 2011 at 9:00am - Saturday, July 9, 2011 at 6:00pm http://wakeweather.com/index.php?opt...&Itemid=30#p51 http://www.facebook.com/event.php?ei...527399&index=1 |
Cant wait to have the Pro tour in the North West! It should be a great event since the majority of the board companies are right here, and it is a GREAT location too. I have a feeling this is going to be an epic event.

Nice! Love the ones I can drive to.

Shane, you didn't happen to find where the other sites will be did you? I Googled, but didn't come up with anything.
|
Anyone know why they quit having finals on Sunday? I much preferred that method.
|
The new format is way better, it keeps the spectators more ingaged building for the finals. I thought the spectator turnouts last year were much larger. Plus people can travel home on Sunday. A lot of the riders have jobs or go to school and need to be home on Monday. Just saying.
|
yeah that's what I heard too Randy, that it's more intense and focused that way, plus there's the added music and other stuff goin' on around that, think they'll add that format to Wake Games, Nats, and Worlds? I don't think so since there's usually a lot more people involved at the amateur and semi pro levels though for those stops in the KOW, but you never know. what about dates on Wake Games, Nats, and Worlds? anyone hear anything 'bout those?

Stops to stay the same minus Elizabethtown
This article came out today and looks like the tour is going to stay the same except Elizabethtown, KY.

Yes I agree. Cutting Sunday out of the mix is a plus for everyone from spectators to sponsors

Golden Ticket
MasterCraft, WWA and INT are working together to host Golden Ticket qualifying events for the PWT stops. They will take place a few weeks prior to the event. You can qualify to ride in the PWT stop by winning outlaw in an INT qualifying event.
WWA and INT had 6 of these events last year and it was pretty cool. Riders who win the Golden Ticket last year did not have to pay the entry fee or pro membership. So it was more affordable. The GT schedule has not been announced for 2011 yet. |
Is this schedule still good? I know they sent it out but then it was removed. Wakestock Europe is also July 8th. I hate it when they conflict.
|
I am surprised they are going to have a tour stop in CO again due to the issues with the boat last year.
