What is the deal I have heard some good and bad things about this boat I have one I am looking at that is a very good price but How is the wake and what should I look for as far as problems...

I have one and the wake is GREAT. No problems, no major problems that I am aware of. I did however have the rudder and steering arm changed to the 07 setup and the boat handles WAY better. You will also want to go with a 14" prop, most of the new x-stars are shipped with them.

What engine does it have? We have one with the 8.1L and love it.

It says escalade motor 375hp so I think it might be the 8.1L

I believe that is the 6.0L but it is still an upgraded motor.

That is the 6.0 Liter engine. The horsepower was increased in 2007 with the addition of variable valve timing, the block was also changed to eliminate the need for the partial closed cooling system. Either way, its a great motor. <BR> <BR>The original 6.0 Liter engine ran raw water through the manifolds and antifreeze to cool the block.
