sorry for the post, but i'm sure someone here has this covered already. i've been looking online now for a while and am not seeing what i need. i have an 06 denali xl with the bose system, factory touchscreen NAV, in-dash cd-changer, rear seat entertainment system (RSE)and factory xm. what i'm looking for is an ipod interface that that won't make me have to disconnect my xm or cd-changer to use. it would be cool if i could control it with the touchscreen or steering wheel controls, but not necessary. i just don't want to have to give up something to do it. i called a couple places and nobody seems to have what i need. i just can't believe there isn't one out there. anybody have something like this?

FM modulator is probably the best and easiest way in your set up. You will have a seperate switch to turn the FM mod.on and off and also need a seperate cord to run from the FM mod to the ipod headphone jack. I installed mine by myself in our F-250 and cost about 35 bucks total.

Is the cd-changer part of the head unit or is it separate? In my Suburban the cd-changer is part of the head unit. If this is the case then crutchfield.com has a product for you.

There is a company called precision interface electronics. I have one in my truck. Modulators do not deliver quality sound. Like T said crutchfield. Or look up p i e on the web. Mine sounds great.

I agree the FM mods. dont have the sound quality.
Its just a super simple/cheap install.
Whats the story on the cd changer head unit component?

my cd changer is seperate from the NAV head unit up top. it's in dash, but down below the touchscreen, although the touchsreen soft buttons as well as hard buttons and steering wheel controls can run it.

Called PIE, they don't have anything and the one on crutchfield requires me to disconnect the cd changer. sucks. i think i'm out of luck. there's something called a neuclius nc-x2i out there, but i've read it's buggy and there's problems with it. i'll have to keep researching i guess. i can't believe it's that hard to find something. i just don't want to give up my changer. there's nothing wrong with it. same with my nav.

http://www.logjamelectronics.com/neucncx2i.html

(Message edited by brucemac on August 09, 2006)

If u have the video ipod got get the adapter that will plug into ur video inputs for the factory dvd system. then the videos will show up on the screens and even if ur not watching the videos music will play though it and it will sound perfect because u will still be using the factory system. I did it with my tahoe and its the best way. also the adapter works with the other ipods too becuase it plugs into the same place where ur head phones would plug into the ipod
