I am trying to decide between an '06 Supra 21V and an '06 Centurion Elite V C4. I like to ski, board, and want to learn how to surf. Which boat would be my best choice?

Red - I'm in the same boat (pun intended). Boats boats are solid...but my wish list also includes the sanger v215. All three boats will provide awesome wakes for both sports, but I'm leaning towards the 21v because it provides a bit better wake and the fit and finish is tops on the supra. the elite is more budget focused compared to the 21v, so if you don't have the extra 8K, go with the c4. For the money, the c4 is the best in it's class....

I just got my new 07 MB Tomcat, This is one sick boat.

One wake may be awesome for one and lame for another. The best advice is to test drive each of the boats and get a pull when you test the boat out. In my opinion the Centurion would be the last in my choice. The boat seems to have lots of problems and the customer service sounds terrible. Do a thread search on Centurion boats and you'll see the post. Don't know much about Supra, but I heard their boat is quality. The Sanger is a great boat and when weighted properly, will throw a huge wake. Sanger makes quality boats and I don't think you will find a post bagging on the Sanger quality. Good luck in your search.

only two years new and nothing but problems for our buddy's centurion.. it seems he is always going with us because his boat is always "in the shop" or "not running right".. good little surf wake though when it is running.
supra has done their homework and has proven itself with the gravity games and years of tournament skiing.
sanger used to build kick arse jet boats back in the 70's and their r&d with hull design in their wakeboard boats shows.
for what your looking to do the supra sounds like it might be a good choice... but i agree you must drive all three and then make your choice. good luck!

Hey we had an 02 Centurion Hurricane. As long as you take care of it and get the services done, your boat will last. Ours never broke down

ayy tod; you wasted your money on an X-Star knock off. red rider; i'd look at the X-2 also if I were you.

Trevor you talk to much crap on here. Who are you to say the tomcat is a waste of money?

I love my 2006 Supra 21v. I haven't had any problems with it except for things I or my friends have broken like stripping knobs on my tower or my windshield getting busted. Well, I did have a problem with the radio cutting in/out but that's only because Amp wasn't strong enough to push the tower speakers so it was over heating. Not a lick of any engine, tranny, electrical, or hull problems with 136 hours going strong. I love my boat!!!!!

We own a Centurion Lighting, and we are happy with it. We Wakeboard, and Surf behind it. When we weight it down one side of the wake gets a flat table on the top, not to big of a deal, but it is from the molding on the back of the boat! (Hope you're reading Centurion! Lets fix this problem) Other than that It runs great, and our customer service has been great - so many dealers across the area - you just have to find that guy/girl who will do anything and everything for you(because hey, we are forking out a lot of CHING for these boats am I right?) We had 1 glitch with a gauge for water temp, depth finder, but Centurion is aware of the prob and takes care of it no problem. I call the Centurion boat the Kohls of boats - I would go Malibu Wakesetter if we had the bucks$$ - Happy hunting and riding this season.

You should definitely get a Supra 21V! They have an awesomely huge wake! The pop that you get from it is amazing! You can change the wake plate to mellow it out to whatever shape you like. It's really roomy for gear and lots of friends! It's a really strong boat!

But I've also ridden behind a centurion at Boardstock. It had a good wake and it was really fun for surfing too!

shellyrn 04-19-2007 9:03 PM

Hey Shawna, what about our boat?? You told us that our wake was the best and fun too!!! You are too sweet! some of these guys talking junk, and you endorse both boats! We miss you guys call us for a pull soon, we are actively seeking thirds!!

I do absolutely love your x star wake! You guys have it perfectly weighted, and for surfing too, you can ride it forever! WE'd love to come out with you guys sometime!

kickflip_mj 04-23-2007 7:06 PM

ha hey Shawna i know your sis Raequel i ride with her in chico every once in a while and i would have to agree with you, the X star wake is sick, smooth as it gets and when im riding it, it feels like im snowboarding... weird.

clearlakescott 04-23-2007 7:33 PM

I own a malibu but between the two it would be hands down the Supra. The Centurion dealer in Orlando closed and if you can't make it in wake capital of the world I don't think you can make it anywhere. Think about something else to resale. Just because your payment is a little steeper doesn't mean it actually "cost" as much. Depreciation is a huge hit on certain makes and less on others. That is one of the reasons we went with malibu. Good luck.

I think this is a hard question, anyone is going to answer with the boat that they currently own and tell you to get one of those. For the most part I fell that a boat is a boat other than a dingy... If you look at the boat trader all boats hold their value according to the original sales price, obviously if you paid more then the value is higher than one that was a little less. I think what ever boat you decide on will rock. They are all great and a lot are looking the same these days so it is hard to tell. We have had a centurion in the family since 1986 and had no problems and resale value is the same as any other boat. As long as you take care of your boat as you do a car then you will be fine. I figure why spend a lot of $$$ for a boat name??? Good luck in your searching and I am sure what you pick will be great as long as you are having fun.
