That looks like an 87-90 Mastercraft prostar, I mean identical to it.
Well i know ...its my dad who bought the boat.... and we both said its exactly like a Mastercraft with different stickers
It looks more like a 83-86 to me. The windshield, engine cover and overall lines look more like my old 84.
100% sure It's an old MC Prostar... Don't know what it's doing with someone else's stickers on it though. <BR> <BR>'85 Prostar <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65921/394660.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65921/394661.jpg" alt="Upload">

yeah interesting... what does the title say?
It's a procraft. I have seen a couple of them in the past. Probably they bought the old molds from mc
But it's a model year 2000? Wow, nice boat, but for 2000, that would definately look dated.
Mike, I agree. <BR> <BR>Maybe that is what they called that series and she is unsure of the year.....
no its definatly a 2000 its just a bad picture !! <BR> <BR>(Message edited by roxy_babe on December 08, 2006)

April, since you are in England, there must be some kind of licensing arrangement for production in Europe between MC and ProCraft. Either that or it is a direct knock-off (copy) of MasterCraft's model. You should be able to get lots of information on the MasterCraft ProStar and it should all apply. <BR> <BR>What are you trying to find out?
just where this boat has orginated from because all the pro crafts ive seen are fishing boats
Where's the pic taken, it dosen't look like southport.
Our private lake <BR>where did you get the idea of southport from? <BR>is it on my profile?
MB was making boats out of old MasterCraft prostar 190 molds not that long ago. Procraft probably just got hold of an old MC and pulled a mold off of it. It looks like they changed a few things ie; top deck vent placement, so it wouldnt be an exact copy. <BR> <BR>(Message edited by woreout on December 09, 2006)

yeah, it is very similar apart from some changes but the dash is totally different!
If you look at the back of the Pro-Craft, you see MBC 29. The Hull ID for all MC's start with MBC (Mastercraft Boat Company). Coincidence???
Yeah April your profile says home lake is Southport, which I was taking as being the saltwater one on the seafront. I've been there once or twice with a friend who lives in the area but I hate the taste of salt water and its shallow enough to bang your head on the bottem. <BR> <BR>(Message edited by dbjts on December 10, 2006)

Additionally, the tooling for the motor box is the exact same on both of them (including the vinyl patterning)...
yeah i hate southport too but my auntie and uncle own the place sooo....free ride! MBC 29 is the registration number for a lake in lincoln (people who previously owned it)
I also looks identical to my first boat - 1988 Marlin Magnum Skier which I was told was shot from the mold of the 1986 MasterCraft Prostar 190.
