Heya,

I practise my (kite)boardcontrol on a cableski track.

I got 2 real cool areal moves which I can not find in the trick list on this site.

rider posistioning: right foot front (goofy?)
8 feet left to the center of the cable
Loading up the rail heelside pressure, angle 45 speeding to the right, 16ft to the right of the cable, heelpress and turn the board angle 90 degrees off cable direction, lift off by moving pressure on left foot (back). Air time
My body turns 135 degrees facing the sky to the right, the head follows the body then looks to the water again, the body follows back.
Its sorta an air raley with a body turn 135d and back again landing.
A guy called it a Stargazer, but i can't find the name in here.
I also completed the rotation to 360 degrees. Making it an inverted S-band (rotating anti- clockwise) or a streched backroll.
The same guy called this move the Hintenberger, sounds great but i can't find it in the list either.

Does someone know the moves as i described above ? If you do I'd like to hear what you call them, and what their rating would be.

Greetz,
Dennis BooM

it is called a 911

Thanx for the input

Are you sure you r not mistaken by the rotation?

I thought the 911 had the same rotation as does the S-bend, like when you r speeding heelside to the right, you turn with your right schoulder down, making a clockwise rotation ... and back.

In these cases I turn with my left schoulder down making a clockwise rotation...

I'll look up the 911 in the trick list asap.

But what about the other trick where I complete the rotation for a full 360 degrees (flying horizontal and streched)?
yeah, its not a 911. Stargazing is when you do a raley so sloppy that you get twisted to that side due to poor balance. Its not a real trick thus not in the list.

The second is just a laid out backroll. No other name for it needed.

Whooaaa, u make it sounds like it's worthless and easy :/

But you r right about the sloppy raley, the stargazing thing evolved like that because if i'd go for the full stop (cable) raley action,
i'd loose ma board in the brutal lift off (sandal footstraps, http://www.sskiteboarding.com/accessories.asp)
It's a trick all by itself to keep it on when doing areals like that.

Thanx for your input Jason. Too bad, I was hoping there was a name for it coz of the S-bend being the other way around.

Worth is subjective. I was just telling you the origin and why you were told what you were told. If you are having fun with it, do it til you cant hold on anymore. Just because it isnt on a trick list or considered by the "wakeboard community" to be a legit trick doesnt mean you cant do it and have fun with it. However, you could grab it alot of different ways and make it your own. That is what it is all about.

You are o so right about that! Ain't nobody holding me back from creating ma 0wn style

I like the stargazing and being creative with that move as a basis for other areal moves.
Of course I will try the invert moves too :D As soon as I figure out how...

I also like to keep my board with me when flying around, I might need to alter my cuffs with a heel strap on it.

It's just that I'm disappointed for not finding it in da list so i can score some points here :D

Thanx for the i-opener and the tip Jason!

Greetingz from The Netherlands!
