Sake of Wake - Path Politics Perspective

This thread is intended as a tangent from the thread "Company Wake" started 12-13-2010, 5:07 PM http://www.wakeworld.com/forum/showt...=785117&page=4 Concerning the interrelatedness of wakeboarding companies and its effect on the wakeboarding industry the sport of, progression of, and enjoyment of as a whole... for better or for worse

Another interesting article about wakeboarding on Stokemeter.com

the fact that we're talking about politics in wakeboarding just proves that the season really needs to start... soon

"Since that time, Liquid Force has been attempting to cooperate with all the brands who utilize this technology. Slingshot joins Hyperlite, CWB and Naish as companies who have agreed to license this technology."

From Justin's/ Company Wake's point of view it would seem LF has not been very easy to cooperate with

How are Hyperlite and CWB "joining" when they are already technically "joined" under the Kent umbrella?
how "separate" can companies be that are all owned by a larger entity? surly not enough to be able to sue one another?
What about Obrien? Obrien and Liquid Force are "MOTION WATERSPORTS" combined of course, but it is pretty obvious LF is the driving force of these current events and not the collective motion watersports. the design of the patent looks like an LF boot, the author/designer is LF employee and the articles that pop up recently all mention LF. but the patent is assigned for Motion Water Sports, Inc. and not for Kent as a whole?

seems Stokemeter is keeping their press hot and current on this topic too
