I've been finding some Supra Launch models for sale for pretty reasonable. I am looking for feedback on the model. How's the wake? Mechanically sound? What options do these boats usually come with? Thanks in advance.

I have one and I am happy with it all around. I've put 150 hrs on mine since November with no major problems, a few electrical things that i could fix myself with no down time. Wake is big if you weight it right. Throws a big surf wake for a DD but its all about the weight. If you notice the bow is very deep and can take a lot so don't be scared to slam it. Gas is not too bad you can get around 6 GPH Towing with around 2k of ballast.

I had a 2002 launch it put 612 hours and only had to replace a starter and steering cable. I love that boat.... I loaded mine with 3000 pounds of ballist and wake was sick....

Love it, I have the 2002 SSV, the stadium seating works great, nobody has to sit on a wet seat. I agree with the others on wake and mechanics. 2000 is due for a new steering cable and will make a huge difference.

How are you guys weighting your Launches for surfing? I am pretty happy with my wakeboarding wake but I havent been able to get the surf wake dialed in.

Agreed with above. Sac mine with 2700# and it has an amazing wake and surf.

I built a auto ballast system with: 440# in the bow, 725# in the center console, 700# sack btw the motor box and the rear seat (oval shape sits vertical, perfect for a rear facing seat!), 450# OEM tank, and a 350# ski locker.

at 24mph the wake is BIG, rampy, and firm. Just installed PP stargaze on mine. Absolutely amazing product. Perfectly dials the speed, which takes constant oversight when pulling manual.

DD with more than hang with any V-drive as long as the motor will hang. THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS YOU HP. I have 310hp, and im not propped right, which holds me down. You will be much more satisfied if that boat is MPI (fuel injection). and try and find the 325hp motor. makes a big difference. and pull that OEM 4 blade and get you and acme 3 blade 913.

I bought mine with 325 hours on it in Feb of '07. I have 700 hours on it now and I just took my Carburetor in for a rebuild (another reason for MPI)

I love my boat, love the seating. I really dont think i would trade up for a V-drive. I dont the seat config.

Ben, Did you buy the 913? If you did hows it run. Did it make your RPM's jump like crazy?
