I have the 04 catalog at home. From what I can tell its very similiar to the 03.

The X-80 looks cool!

For closeups of the '04 X-Star shown above, go to: http://www.syntelnetworks.com/home
Then go to photography. There are quite a few pics of the guys I ride with. One of them, Gabe Fowler, has an '04 X-Star. The pics from Aug 17 have the shots of the new X-Star. The boat in the pics above belongs to Gabe Fowler. I shot them at the Table Rock INT when they first got the boat.

I just don't see the point of spending 75K on a wakeboard boat. I ride with Ricky G from time to time and the wake on his Wakesetter is just as big, from what he has said, having ridden behind both.

to each there own, its all about personal preference, i like master craft and the new xstar, so thats what I am getting, the wake may be just as good on other boats, but thats not what I want or what im getting, thats the point. I have ridden behind plenty of boats and they are all nice without a doubt, i just grew up behind master crafts, so thats where I am staying.

Hey Poser (sorry I couldn't resist) because now you have a great wake and room for 12 friends and ALL of there stuff! You can drive across a busy lake and not get pounded. You get lots of looks from everyone. Should I keep going? Some people don't see the point of spending $65 for a good wakeboard rope when Wal-Mart sells ropes for $8. Value is all in the eye of the beholder. If you truly don't see the point of an X-Star spend a weekend with a family that owns one. I'll bet you will see the light!

I think that I would be down for getting the looks, but seriously, you would probably NEVER have 11 of your friends in the boat when you go ridin. You'd only get one ride all day. We only have 3-5 of us when we ride. It is a wakeboard boat right?! If you got to load all your pals into, you should go get a party barge. Friends and family for a day of partying I could see, but you can still fit them into a Malibu.
I guess if you have that much money to blow, how about giving some of it to me.

that last comment is funny as hell Poser............I'm broke as a mufugga too!!!

bbr 09-04-2003 8:55 AM

I ride in Bakersfield.

aneal000 09-04-2003 9:37 AM

I'll give you some of that money if you can make me as happy as when I am out riding!

Not that I'm a mastercraft fan (cause personally I'm a Malibu girl) but I think the point of having that much capacity serves two puposes. You can have 15 people on the boat and only have like 3-5 people that are only going to ride behind it. However look at the bigger picture, not only can it carry more people, but more ballast as well! Imagine filling the 03 with max ballast and then some (because lets face it most people with wake boats tend to surpass the legal weight capacity of their boat). I mean the wake would be huge.

HaHa - lighten up on the guy haha. I saw the new boat at the X-Games and it didnt appear that the riders were getting nearly as high as they do with other boats - of course this was the first time I had ever seen a pro event in saltwater and that does make a little bit of difference. I just didnt notice the wake being better than other boats. However, suppose Chris and Tony have points as well.

I own an 03 VLX, and a freind has an 03 X Star. With both boats loaded, the X-Star wake is quite a bit bigger than mine, but it is way more gradual. It's decieving to a point, but holy crap is it big.
I personally like a steeper wake, but it is still fun as hell.
