Some New 6x9's...

I got an old school set up on my tower with a box and 4 6x9's... It works fine for what we use it for but the speakers are getting old and tired (some of the tweeters are not working either). I'm considering replacing them. I currently have the old Polk MOMO's that have been discontinued. I also have the Polk MOMO 6.5" in the boat. Does anybody know if the MOMO 6x9 grill will fit on the DB or the new MM speakers? I would like to keep it all looking the same if possible. Also what's everyone's opinion on the DB series vs the MM series. DB are quite a bit cheaper but not enough to make it a deal breaker.

Oh, if anybody knows where I can still find the MOMO's that would be awesome, I really like those speakers.

Thanks,
Aaron

Bump...

nobody has an opinion on the differences between MM and DB series? Nobody knows where to buy the old MOMO stuff?

The Polk MoMo MMC690's have been discontinued for some time and are real hard to find, just gotta get lucky. Here's one new pair I found on ebay though, Polk MMC690, good luck finding them.

Razzman, I'm aware they are hard to find and if I cant find 2 pair for less than the mm's I might just go that route, I can get the mm off eBay for $135 shipped or the db's for around $90. Just not sure if the mm are worth the extra coin, but they do look cooler

The Mobile Moniter series is certainly better than are the DB's but be aware that they are 2.7 ohms so depending on how you have your tower speakers wired they may not work with your current amp.

Hate thanks for pointing that out... I have 2 channels at 2 ohms each right now so that could be a deal breaker, I'll have to check if I can bridge my amp at 2 ohms or not, I have a feeling that DB's are in my future...
