Best Cable Wakeboard?

I was wondering what the best cable wakeboard was for cable and cable only. I already have a ronix one that i have been using for both boat and cable but i was looking for a board best for cable. some slingshot and liquid force have been sticking out but I want to know the best board overall! thanks!

Bro! read your first forum post from a few days ago...http://www.wakeworld.com/forum/showthread.php?t=802276

Slingshot is very popular

liquid force deluxe and peak are very popular

CTRL boards are pretty popular

The Hyperlite Franchise flx is a great board, so is the supertrip, milkcart, and union

CWB woodro and jive are fun

lots of great options out there

Jobe Conflict is my favorite board. First board I ever got on that immediately felt right.

I'm riding the O'Brien fremont this year, love it, super smooth base so it glides for miles on sliders, I'm not able to pull air tricks at the cable yet so I can't comment on how well it does that.

The other bonus is that it's cheap, boards take a beating at the cable so I'm not too worried about scratching this one as it didn't cost the earth.

Slingshot or CTRL, both of which are sold at your local atx cable

Unless it's a CTRL RX. I wore one completely out and cracked the wooden spine in 4 months. Not a durable board despite their claims.

+1 for CTRL on cable. I've been riding a 2012 CTRL Hustle for a little less than 2 years and love it. Stiff through the center of the board between the bindings, but flexy as a garden hose at the tips. Great, great ride.

ik but some people talked about other boards so I wanted to start new and not narrow it down to specific brands.

Liquid Force has a good lineup of cable boards. I can only speak for these 'cause they're the ones I've seen mostly ridden back in our local cable. Right now the popular ones for 2014 would obviously be: Deluxe, Peak, and FLX. Normally cable boards have good flex properties (I'd say among the three, the Deluxe has the best flex for pressing. I've seen both the Deluxe and FLX nose pressed like crazy), a durable hybrid / wood core, and channels that are quite more subtle than boat boards but have good enough bite and hold for some serious edging, apart from being catch free on obstacles. I'd say you won't go wrong with either of the three from LF. I almost forgot to mention the 2014 Raph, it's supposed to be as good as the three but I'm not sure why it's not as popular as them.

I ride a 2014 Peak. I chose it mostly because of the all wood core and I like the graphics (dunno if it's just me but I didn't like most of the 2014 graphics for most brands). I wanted a board sturdy enough and won't easily break even if it's banged up because quite honestly I'm far from being the best cable rider and I do hit my board in awkward places onto some obstacles ocassionally. I'm not a good "presser" but I feel like the Peak is a bit more stiffer. So far it's been OK, I've had some bad hits at the bottom of the board but so far the only real damage I got was a small roundish chip at one of the edge channels that likely caught one screw sticking out at one of the obstacles. Was easly fixed by a small amount of clear epoxy.

I initially wanted a board with no channels since that's where my old board had most of its damage before. I was eying the 2014 Slingshot Shredtown, heck if those guys can ride the board anywhere I'm quite convinced it can handle my riding. Too bad I can't find one locally.

Sorry for the novel, but if you ask me, get one with the properties I mentioned: good flex, sturdy core, and subtle or no channels at the bottom. If I'd pick another board it would be a Slingshot Shredtown or Relfex (cause its cheaper).

My Jobe Conflict has deep channels and is as solid as a rock. I didn't care much for the Peak. Bought a used one and didn't ride it for more than a few weeks. Felt as if it had no grip when on edge.

Rode a Bob at the LF FFA a year ago and liked it. The Witness Grind and the Tex are good boards but not real flexie. You really have to ride boards because no one knows what you are looking for. The Union rode OK for me but felt like too clunky. Rode a Slingshot Whip for a couple months. Decent board but didn't fill all my needs. An important aspect on choosing a board for me was confidence in the edge when throwing air tricks. So the Tex and Witness did the job and worked well on the sliders. They weren't much for pressing but neither was I.

The Conflict put it all together for me. Soft landings, solid edge for air tricks, slides great, surface spins without catching an edge when flat on the water, and now I'm working on my presses as it's very flexible.
