Samson typhoon swivel board racks
 

I've gotten tired of my fixed racks to the point of hating them. I love the Samson racks and would like to know where the best place is to get them? Any promo codes? Group buys? Etc?

These will be on a Malibu illusion x tower....

yeah they add $$$ up quickly. I have two cannon combo racks and two double surf typhoon spinning racks. They are worth the price though best racks on the market IMO

What's the deal with the fork angles? Bakes offers a straight, medium (15 deg), and extreme (25 deg) angle. Anyone have pics of the different setups? Preferably on an illusion x tower. For those that have these, which angle is the usual/preferred?

here is a pic of a buddies 247 sorry for the bad pic but you can see his racks have two different angles to make clearance between the boards on towers with fixed mounting locations. Also here is a pic of mine with all racks at the same angle hope this helps

the Malibu has the straight on bottom and the 15 deg. on top mine are all 15 deg.

My boat is a 07 247. I wanna get a pair, but that is good info on a four rack setup. Good attention to detail there with the fixed rack mountings and the board clearances.

Has anyone ever had problems with speaker cans interfering with the racks when they're fully swiveled inside the boat?

Clearance is only an issue if you plan to carry wake boards. If you just want surfboard storage you can go with all the same angle. The 247 in the pic is an 08 so it should be very similar to yours. Also if you find a price lower than what Samson advertises call them and ask for Scot he is the owner and will match the price or even beat it.

I'm assuming you are talking about board vs board clearance and not board vs speakers clearance. Correct me, if I'm wrong...

correct board vs board clearance. if you carry wakeboards and don't have enough space between the racks the bindings will catch on each other and not allow the racks to spin. If using factory fixed mount locations speaker clearance should not be a problem
