Is there any diff between the D200 and the new D300? we just got one and I was just wondering what the diff is or if they are the same the 300 is just newer.

i had a d200, moved up to a d300. there are some differences that you'll just fall into. I can't think of any that are bad, but there are definitely tons that are good. The image quality at high ISOs is the best thing! you'll love the camera, good luck with it

the commander mode is rockin too when you are in a bind and you only have one flash with you

I upgraded from the D70 and haven't picked the 70 since. The D300 is brilliant in every way. I used some of Rockwell's advise even though some think he is sketchy. My son who is a good shooter seems to prefer the 300 as well. As far as the D200 is concerned, I shot with one a few times and it is a great camera as well. I was looking at the 200 but, I kept hearing rumors about the 300 and I'm glad I did. Like Kyle said the image quality at high ISOs outstanding. <BR> <BR>Cheers, <BR>Gord

Yeah my pops has had some time to figure it out and he loves it, he has a really good eye for colors in a picture and all that mumbo jumbo. Its an amazing camera
