So who do you reckon will win this, if at all?

I'm gonna go with Brad Smeele if he makes the finals or gets one of the wildcards (which i think he should).

My outsider pick is Aaron Rathy...

xtremebordgurl 06-19-2008 7:15 AM

I thought it was $1,080 not $10,800... and I thought it was double that if you did it in a contest. Rusty has stuck 6 10's already, if I had to put my money on someone it would be him.

http://www.wakeworld.com/getarticle.asp?articleid=1715

No, its $10,080.00 and its R-A-D

Rusty

misteve 06-19-2008 8:38 AM

I hope someone does it this weekend in Portland, cause I'll be there!

If Parks rode in it I would pick him.... Bad knees and all.

clearlakescott 06-19-2008 10:04 AM

Even though I am not a rusty fan he would be my vote

wakeriderixi 06-19-2008 10:09 AM

This isn't the company '1080' sponsoring this one. This is Tigé and it's only at the Tigé Pro-Am Wakeboard Championships.

behindtheboat 06-19-2008 10:09 AM

If soven did his scarecrow 7 wouldn't half the people give it to him?

hawkeye7708 06-19-2008 10:27 AM

eh, he's already won 20,000 G's in one contest why not make 30,800 dollars in two? JIMMY LaRICHE! haha

mckenna 06-19-2008 5:05 PM

smeele has apparently landed his 2nd 10 recently. smeele gets my vote.

jarrod 06-19-2008 5:13 PM

Rusty has done 6?

Sounds like he can land one if he wants it.

xtremebordgurl 06-20-2008 6:40 AM

Yeah Rusty virtually has 'em on call. I remember Josh was talking about wanting to do a sequence of Rusty's 10 and went out there to see if he could get one and Rusty stuck it on his 3rd try. Josh even made a poster of it in his first run of posters, you can check it out at www.joshletchworth.com

bflat53212 06-20-2008 7:34 AM

"If soven did his scarecrow 7 wouldn't half the people give it to him?"

LOL...you might have something there.

hawk7 06-20-2008 12:27 PM

I vote Danny! I don't think Rusty has tried more than once to land his ten in comp, whereas danny has tried three times, and rode away once but lost the handle or something.

andy_nintzel 06-20-2008 1:32 PM

my vote is that no one will land it. I hate to be that guy, but it seems like everything needs to be perfect for the 10. Some hire power needs to be in play for them to be landed.

w00taz 06-20-2008 1:40 PM

hawk, thought harf was out hurt?

adam_balon 06-20-2008 4:30 PM

rusty or smelle. however i would be hyped if lariche landed a ten.

it will be funny to see who will be throwing down for the 10 and who will keep it together for a win and points.

misteve 06-20-2008 4:32 PM

they should have a seperate little event for people trying for 10's so they don't have to risk losing a podium spot if they don't land it.
That would be sweet to watch riders try that back to back.

knarbar 06-20-2008 4:38 PM

Sounds crazy but I wouldnt be suprised to see Brian Hutton land one. Dont think he will necessarily be the first and maybe this is a bit off subject but the guy can spin and do it well. Remember the three 9s he landed in a row.

adam_balon 06-23-2008 11:05 AM

what happened? obviously no one landed one.

behindtheboat 06-23-2008 11:44 AM

Tige still can't say a 10 has been landed behind their boat....

waterdork88 06-24-2008 1:47 PM

i wouldnt want to see a 10 in a 10 contest. i'd rather see someone risk the podium spot. that way we will know the guy that does that truly has them on lock

its interesting because rusty seems to have them more on lock compared to others but he also seems to be compteting the smart way. with backside 7s off the doubleups to stay in the same ballfield as phillip soven. danny has tried more often. and brad smeele claims that he thinks he can get it consistent over a lil time. it could be anyone, but i'm going to place my money on danny, smeele is my second choice, followed by rusty.

hawk7 06-24-2008 6:04 PM

didn't the event already happen? I'm thinkin that rathy will have his locked in very very soon even though he just landed his first one.
