Nautique G23

Hello. Does anyone know how large the Nautique G23s wake is with full ballast? Thanks!!

schmo 09-20-2013 5:32 PM

Bigger than a breadbox.

Is this a serious question? A little searching this site will get you all the info and pics/video you need. It's big.

simplej 09-20-2013 5:40 PM

If you have to ask that question, you probably can't handle it.

V8_Killer 09-20-2013 10:28 PM

First, is that a measurement question or what? Its 2'5.3" tall...I dunno.
Its the largest wake ever made by a boat running only OE ballasts.

cwb4me 09-21-2013 3:52 AM

Are you sure it wasn't 2'6" tall? Where did you measure it?

This big. Top pick is stock ballast only. Bottom three pics are with a bunch extra.

I just love threads with pics of G23 wakes. Had to laugh -again- how big they are. Plain ridiculous!

501s 09-22-2013 10:16 AM

You guys are "working on" tricks like W2W 1080's and Roll to blinds. That's just awesome. You guys are the ones who actually can use that wake to it's potential. Sweet vids.

Here's a pic of Colin Ryan and I riding doubles a month or two ago. Straight off the wake, no dub here. For reference, I'm 5'11".

slipknot 10-01-2013 11:17 AM

November you should expect to hear something

markj 10-01-2013 10:24 PM

I had a Nauty factory rep tell me in October 2012 that it was going to be out this past June and that never happened.... Who knows? All I know is that that boat will be a best seller in no time when ite available.

johnny_defacto 10-02-2013 1:22 PM

PLEASE someone who knows for sure tell me that the G21 is definitely happening..... please please

jbkriss 10-02-2013 1:40 PM

Seems to me like a G21 would become more popular than the G25. IDK, maybe I just don't come across many G25s.

V8_Killer 10-02-2013 9:01 PM

According to #'s discussed on PlanetNautique, based on information from Nautique + multiple Nautique dealers, G23's make up right at 76-78% of G sales.

Will the G21 come in a kill G23 sales? Absolutely not. And anyone that thinks otherwise, feel free to contact me and place some money on that. G23 will continue to reign king of the G series. A G21 will come in cheaper, but Nautique isn't going to price it equal to their 210/230, essentially killing that line.

The G21 won't be much cheaper than a G23, Nautique will want to maintain their profit and their dealers' profit margins. G21 buyers will be those that, for whatever reason, don't want the extra 2 feet of the G23. G21 buyers will buy the G21 only because it fits their needs, not because they can't afford a G23 and the G21 is just that much cheaper. You don't find a lot of people that can afford, say, $115k but just can't swing $130k.

Cheers,

Dusty

agreed.

( You don't find a lot of people that can afford, say, $115k but just can't swing $130k.)

Exactly, well said.

I was sitting on the fence at the end of last season, in the end it came down to waiting 12months to buy a G21 or order a G23 for the start of the summer. At the end of the day if i purchased a g21 or G23 i was going to have to upgrade my $500 car. I would have preferred a 21 footer but i figured if the dollar went down and it has they'll end up just as expensive as a current G23. Needles to say my G23 should arrive in a couple weeks just as our water down under is warming up!

jbkriss 10-03-2013 6:34 AM

I didn't mention anything about the G21 hurting the G23 sales. I wondered if it would become more popular than the G25 because I don't see as many of them around. Obviously the 23 is the flagship of the line. Just wondering if the 21 will be second or third.
