Condolences to you two for your losses, it is one of the toughest things we as humans have to deal with.
On a side note, I darn near lost one of my dogs a couple of weeks ago to d-con rat poison. From my logic, she ate two trays on a Friday without me knowing. She didn't show any symptoms until the following Wednesday night. I rushed her to the Vet Thursday morning as she was almost dead from internal hemorrhaging. That Thursday and Friday were the longest days of my life. She finally responded to the meds on Saturday, just shy of receiving a blood transfusion. Moral of the story, if you have any d-con out, NO MATTER HOW WELL YOU THINK IT IS HIDDEN OR OUT OF REACH, get rid of it right now. It isn't worth the loss of a four legged friend. Lets see some more pictures of pups! |

Read this today online. Really sad and makes me love my dog that much more. Thought I would post the dog pics up. I'm sure it will touch you guys too.
A loyal Labrador retriever kept a faithful vigil at his master's side this week even as friends and family wept at his human's coffin. "Hawkeye" waited patiently at the Iowa funeral for a word or a whistle from downed Navy SEAL Jon Tumilson, 35, killed with 29 other US service members when their Chinook helicopter was shot down earlier this month in Afghanistan.
