Nice Jay, congrats on a great event. Looks like Colin had a big weekend!!
Great weekend Jay..
Thanks to everyone who made it happen and thanks to all of our friends who were there.. Was good to meet some new ones as well. Congrats to Colin for cleaning up |
Jeff, if you could, you should post up the peak frames of Colin's Hoochie Glide, John's Roll to Revert, and Micah's 360.
Heard from Colin Last night the event sounded Amazing. I wish I was more mobile!!! I cannot believe that I busted up my foot before the event.
That is some serious prize money for the first event, cant wait to see how big it will become, I know I will be there next year! |
Nice pay day for Colin!
Congrats on your first event! Going to do it again? |
I think so. It was a lot of work, but I think it will only get easier now that I know what's what.

only pics I have on my phone.. wifes phone has a ton but I'm sure Ryan Taylor and Jeff Garvey will drop a hundred pics each on us.. I think Garvey took like 2,000 or something over the weekend..
just some resort pics, butter pic and a pic of the best boat that made it to the comp. |
I was unable to make it...hopefully next year. Can't wait to see more pics!
Andy, yep! Have another daughter on the way!
I will post a few this evening when I get home. Got some of Colin throwing down on Friday.
Thanks again to Jay and all the sponsors for putting this weekend together. Had a great time riding, pulling, and hanging out with everyone. Hopefully it only continues to get better and we get everyone from the MN wake scene there next year and then some. Looking forward to seeing the pics and video.
CONGRATS COREY!!! That's fantastic!
Big props to Jay for putting this together, I know you worked your arse off on it. When you first started talking about it 6 months ago I was thinking if you could get a $1000 purse together and 30/40 people to show up it would be a success in my book. Way to crush it man and put a legit event together!
And of course thanks to all the other people that helped out. It was pretty legit to see everyone pitch in and lend a hand, picking up no wake signs, doing some backyard mechanics on the winches and finding plywood from who knows where.
Colin thanks for sharing the love and buying everybody a round. Angie said she would take you shoe shopping for the Manolo's if you need help ha ha. |
Most epic burp after a icing
1st place- Jay Fogelson |
Congrats Colin, nice payday!!
It was a ton of fun - Thanks for putting an awesome event together Jay. I am in the process of uploading my pics now - I will post up links when I have them online.
I agree, it was an awesome event and weekend..Jay thanks for all your hard work! Thanks also to Nautique and Casey for all the pulls and the huge wake!
Here is a link to my photo gallery for the pictures I took this weekend. This is for ALL of the images I took (about 1500 of them). Over the next few days/weeks I will be making up some sequence pics of the pictures, and I am going to work on a video edit. Once I am done with those I will post them on the facebook page for the MN Spring Ride, and link them here. More to come but in the mean time, enjoy!

I was representin' thru sponsoring, though. Hopefully, some of you got some gear from WakeSkiShop :-) John Tietz, you da man, way to represent!! --> LBP |

Just like everyone else, I gotta thank everyone involved, especially Jay for all his hard work organizing this. Also pretty dang stoked on Casey and the dudes at Marine Max for hooking us up with one of the 230's for a few evening and morning shoots. Hopefully some of the images hit print!
Been going through the MANY images that I shot over the weekend, would love to post them up but that'll have to wait. Until then, I'll just leave you with this tease.... oh the anticipation! HAHA! |
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^That's a pretty rad shot^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Stoked to see some 4am barefooting pics ;-)

oh and here is a still from the best crash. You will just have to wait for the video to see the actual move leading to it :-D
Jeff, the one of Tietz doesn't look like it's the Roll to Revert.
Yeah that looks like a Batwing, or a hs off 180, indy glide something along those lines.
I love watching Colin get punted into a hoochie off the dubber! |
That is the image of Jon finishing the roll to revert - the highest point of his trick was when the roll was already done
That's the HS Mute OA 180.
Here's the Roll to Revert: http://www.gahvey.com/Programs/galle...2_itemId=12244 |
you are right Jay
That 230 looks really low. How much weight were you guys running in it?
It looks like this was an awesome event. Great for the MN scene. |
We run about 5000 pounds of ballast in it. For that event we had about 4500 pounds, plus 5 people.
yeah that 230 is slumping!!! so sick
I just wanted to say thanks again to Jay and all the sponsors, This was the best event I have ever been to, I hope we can keep it going next year!
It will definately happen again and again. It has been a pleasure getting to know the Wake scene here in MN, growing up in Fl, there is just a different culture here and I like what I see.
Casey after that double you charged last night I'm pretty sure you need to be in the contest next year.
Anyone got any more pics to share with us? Post 'em up if you do!
Where are the vids? Taylor and Garvey should have something, no?
Don't worry, I was hoping to have the photos up sooner too. I'm just waiting to hear back from someone first.
I'll let you know when they are up. |
Garvey is just putting the finishing touches on his video. PhunPromotions will also have a video in the near future.

Sorry it took me so long to start on these - Colin asked me about them today so thought I should probably start on them instead of being lazy. Here is the first one I put together of Colin's winning Biggest Air Move - Hoochie Glide.
You need permission from the FAA to go that big!!! That is awesome! Nice job Colin!

Here is a sequence of Russ' best crash from the double up competition
best crash sequence shot without the crash.. nice work terry!
Not sure if Russ is a WakeWorlder or not - but props to him for toughing out that beater.. There were some awesomely nasty falls on the Dubs.. Honorable mention to Rob for the face digger.. More balls than me, Sir(s).
The last sequence pic would have been all spray and overlapped the last 3 frames of the sequence - I didn't want to ruin it with that
Here is one of two films from the Spring Ride. Big thanks to Jeff Garvey for filming, creating, and editing this video!

Jeff W. - Yep, I am Wakeworlder. Rob and Jade both had hard crashes. I think they may have gave it to me because I am getting older and they felt sorry for my old body.. :)
Jeff G. - Nice video! |

Was that Nintzel wakesurfing in the 2nd film???
someone should start a new thread with all of the pics and vids in one post.... "spring ride pics and vids".. would be a bummer if the hard work was lost in the shuffle of a long threqd
