Wakeboarding in new zealand?

Howdy Wakeworlders,

Me and my wakeboard are flying to Christchurch NZ on Tuesday and staying about a week. Does anyone know where to wakeboard over there? Are there any cables? or Do you know of anyone that would bring me for a pull?

Thanks!

no cables, im from New Zealand and their are quite a few lakes around, most of them are extinct volcanoes. im not sure how you would go finding a ride, wakeboarding isnt that big over their

No cables but the sport itself is getting bigger every year now. NZ wake nationals are on this month 16/17th , Will be a mean weekend, Is being held at Horahora Domain, Lake Karapiro .

There is apparently a cable in the South Island near Ashburton.
