X 55

I know a ton of people hate mc here but I'm wondering what you guys think about the wake on this thing and if you should add more ballast and anything you guys think about this boat also how's the
surf wake I've never surfed before but my family wants to try

bruizza 01-16-2012 7:27 PM

Never been on the X55 but I would imagine on a boat that big you are going to have to ride at least 24mph to get a clean wake. Possibly faster.

alans 01-16-2012 7:27 PM

I love the wake on the 55. The stock ballast should be adequate for anyone from beginner to advanced amateur. The surf wake is decent and clean with stock ballast, but extra weight makes it a monster, you certainly have tons of room.

alans 01-16-2012 7:29 PM

Bruizza, the wake is super clean, even at 20. It is not a super steep wake. It is like a giant X-25.

01-16-2012 7:54 PM

Does the boat come with a stick?

Mikhale 01-17-2012 7:53 AM

What's the wake like if you put a couple extra thousand pounds in it
:D

Mikhale 01-17-2012 7:57 AM

What's it like f you do put some extA weight in it

Mikhale 01-17-2012 7:58 AM

Sorry for the second comment tablets are hard to deal with

bruizza 01-17-2012 2:09 PM

That is awesome Alan! Glad there is at least 1 big boat out there you don't have to ride fast as hell behind. I love the way the X55 looks.

Does the boat come with a stick?

nautiquesonly 01-17-2012 5:10 PM

A stick for what Nick? Is there an inside joke i'm missing?

01-17-2012 6:01 PM

No jokes, a stick is a useful tool to defend oneself against the flurry of trim (chicks) that are going to be attracted to the boat and the owner.

Nautique owners should also be versed in this phenomenon.

huh, they must have started including that after the law suit, that way when you cant plane off, you can clear out the bow.

Now that right there is some innovation.

Haha these guys follow every word I say. I should start a blog for them.

Don't you guys have a park or some state Capitol you need to occupy?

brett564 01-17-2012 11:38 PM

Oh lord, flashbacks of RyanXStar and Lon. But why can I not click on this poster to confirm Troll status? I've never noticed this before, but normally any member has a profile I can look at except for this suspicious one.

He has to be someones alter ego.

When you're a dad, it's all about the kids having fun. That takes place behind $100,000 boats and $18,000 boats. I'm fortunate to get access to many of the industry's best boats and I'm the first to say that I often find myself behind the wheel dragging my kids around on tubes. No shame in my game. They love it, and that makes me love it.
I understand brand loyalty for sure, but it's all about just having fun. There are tons of different boats for different people so you just have to find the right one that fits your budget and personality.

By the way, here's a little beauty....

psudy 01-18-2012 12:01 PM

Nice pond!!!

craigtxmc 01-18-2012 12:03 PM

LOL, that pond was almost a dried up puddle just a few weeks ago.. That's home of the June stop of the PWT by the way....

polarbill 01-18-2012 12:12 PM

I don't relaly like much abotu the new Mastercrafts but that is one sick looking setup. Even the tower looks pretty decent and I have the look of that tower usually.

Sorry for the X-35 pics.. Guess I should post an X-55 on the X-55 thread..

polarbill 01-18-2012 12:43 PM

god that thing is a monster. The tower is down some on the 55 isn't it?

craigtxmc 01-18-2012 2:48 PM

I have the bimini pulled down a bit up front. It helps with the sun in your eyes a bit more... Plus it looks kinda cool.

wakebrdr94 01-18-2012 3:01 PM

That is a sick color scheme. As much as love the black, I'm to anal about keeping it perfect. There would be one water spot I missed and couldn't get out, and I would cry.

cwb4me 01-18-2012 7:16 PM

How many GPH does the 7.4 Ilmor use?

Mikhale 01-19-2012 6:09 PM

sorry but im not a computer guy and i need some help posting a picture thanks

ncsuuh 01-20-2012 1:14 PM

Heyoooooo- love that color scheme. So am I an idiot or are these the same boat but one is photoshopped? Love the 35. I want to see how the 7.4 performs.

craigtxmc 01-20-2012 1:46 PM

Different boats with same color scheme.

ixfe 01-20-2012 2:40 PM

Craig... you sure know how to order boats! Every pic I see you post (whether MC or MB) jumps off my screen as an incredible color combo! I think the Boatmate trailers you order are part of the magic. I love your picture spot too... nice setting!

craigtxmc 01-21-2012 12:51 PM

Thanks man... I appreciate that.
