Wake9.com/Tige Spring Festival

It looks like Danny Gutierrez, Ben Pigeon, and possibly Jean Wagner will all be attending from Tige Boats, with 2 new RZ2s. There will also be 1 Ski Supreme v226 to help pull for the board demos. There will be at least 1 Tige (possibly the wake9 Tige 24Ve) and one v226 pulling board demos all day on Friday and Saturday.

Feel free to ask any questions you may have, and bookmark here for up to date info, we just updated the schedule. We still have room for the contest, but its filling up quick. We definitely have room in the women's open. As a father of 4 daughters, lets go girls! Don't let the men show you up.

On top of the prize money posted, we will have giveaways, and I have personally picked out some nice awards for the competition, that will be personally engraved with your name if you come in 1st 2nd or 3rd.

I will have my boat out there as well on Saturday. I can also help with pulls for board demos if needed....I'm looking forward to checking out the TWP Bazooka!!

Ragboy can we buy bbq tickets at the event or do they need to be bought in advance?

ragboy 05-09-2010 10:53 PM

Well, we have to know how many people are going to be there, to get enough stuff. Dennis is handling the BBQ, Dennis? Can you take this one?

Looking forward to seeing you.

Some more information on the festival, and what we are working on with the live webcast. We are really working on the quality of the webcast, and boat to shore broadcast. If you are in the area, show up!

so stoked!

i was at Camp Far West on sunday for The Liquid Playground's Wakeskate Demo event and it was white capping and just shítty weather in general. Glad it will be nice for us. The water is really high and its all grass on shore!

ragboy 05-11-2010 10:33 AM

Yes, exactly. This is the cove we are using, and camping around. The whole cove can be camped around, its all green and grassy.

gunz 05-12-2010 12:24 PM

If there is a way she can hook up some pulls I will.

ds3 05-12-2010 3:49 PM

Man, why can I never make it to any of these surf events?!?! I bet there is even a fish in that camping cove!

More Testing and Preparation

We had fun weighting down that RZ2 a bit more, tested a new camera lens and mounting position, talk about some of the giveaways, and then make fools of ourselves also.

Here is a map of the site, and we will be taking on site registrations on Saturday, and early sunday morning. Check wake9.com/blogs for more information on on site registration this evening.

Had a great day doing a photo shoot with Tige today. Had the boats weighted for competition, and 3 of the best surfers behind a boat. We had James Walker, Sean Cummings and Nick Scott on hand. Tomorrow at 6am, we will be shooting with Chase Hazen and Johnny Stieg, can't wait.

We will be allowing on site registration from 10-11am on Saturday, and from 8am - 9am on Sunday, so it is not too late to compete. You will want to compete just for prizes alone. We will be having a raffle for the competitors on Sunday after the competition. Here are some of the prizes available:

- Fresh Air Exhaust system valued at $440
- 1000 lb Fly High Fat Sac w/ Tsunami Pump
- Wakeshredder gear
- Kodak HD Playsport Camera
- XTRAC Traction
- More!

Lastly, even if you are not competing, you will want to be there for the demos on Friday and Saturday. We will have lots of boards to try out, but not only that, several boats to ride in and ride behind. The wake9.com Tige 24ve will be there, a brand new Ski Supreme V226 will be there, but wait there's more! ;-) Danny Gutierrez and Ben Pigeon from Tige will be pulling demos in the contest boats, weighted for the contest. So you could get a ride in or behind a brand new 2010 RZ2 driven by a factory Tige rep.

See you there!

If you haven't seen it, check out RagBoy's thread about the Spring festival on Tigeowners.com. Also, Ragboy has posted a few pictures in his wake9 tweets - check them all out here. James came home from the photo shoot and told me the wake was sick, and just booted him huge.

I d/l'ed a few of the photos from Ragboy's tweets just so you could see.
