Red Bull Media House

Hi

So I am around halfway through my first playthrough of Where the trail ends, and am just blown away by the quality of the film. I have never been one to bike, but I am really enjoying the movie. I got to thinking, with how awesome The art of flight was, and how epic Where the trail ends is turning out to be, would a wakeboarding movie be just as epic? I would love to see a huge budget wakeboarding film.

However my brother brought up the point that both of these movies play on the element of exploration....and he wasn't aware that was a part of wakeboarding. Until i showed him this video...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4QBUFDnzDYE&feature=plcp
He got really excited really fast.

I thought this would be a fun conversation for wakeworld ->
Would you guys want to see a full feature film by red bull media house on wakeboarding?
Would you want it to be more traditional? or based on exploration like RBMH's past projects?

Parks Doc was made with Red Bull resources.

Where the trail ends is insane, the art of flight was awesome.

With all due respect to the talent it takes to wakeboard (and I do love the sport), The films you have mentioned are so far above what i've ever seen or anticipate seeing in a wakeboard film. I haven't seen very many clips in a wakeboard film where the rider has a 50/50 chance of death! In where the trail ends I thought the rider was going to die about 75% of the time!

Don't get me wrong, I would love to see it done.

Also check out ALL.I.CAN from Sherpa Cinemas, small company...best ski movie, actually best action sports movie I have ever watched.

Friends of mine build the wingsuits and rigs and are in this video. Talk about thinking of dying.

I didn't forget about the parks doc! I drafted the op twice and it was way too long before. I really think it could be done. with things like

and
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tyqGHc10dvE
along with the video in the OP i also think they could do it the way they have been doing it with the whole exploration factor.
The risk of death could come into play with that I think...but I'm not sure if anyone wants to get hurt, I wouldn't enjoy watching someone get hurt as a viewer.
Love ALLI.CAN, especially the urban line with the backflip over the car. Awesome.
Whoever edited that winguit video, did an awesome job. Some really good shots!
Would also hate to see any of those guys get hurt. Do you think that is critical to the level of entertainment?

getting hurt isn't crtical but the risk taking does appeal to me as a watcher i guess

If the doctor ever tells me i'm terminally sick the first thing i'm buying is a wingsuit...:)
