Does/has anyone towed there boat w/an Xterra. I have an 06 Outback V and was wondering if my wife's 06 Xterra would tow it okay. I normally tow w/my 1500 Z71 but the steering box went out and I don't know how long it will take them to fix it. So if I wanna go ride my only tow rig is my wife's Xterra. Thanks all.

The new ones are rated at 5k i think...but i wouldn't tow it too far. Too short a wheelbase to do any long hauls safely.

My lady and I have an 07 Xterra and I have though about towing the boat with it. I don't have a hitch on mine yet so I have not. I have an 07 GMC Serria so I have not got to tow with the Xterra. I think It could but I wouldnt tow to far they have a ton of power for a V6 4.0

I have an 06 Nismo Frontier, and as said before, it's a great rig for just towing around town and to/from the ramp. If you have to go anywhere that requres some distance and hills, get a friend who has a diesel or a big v8/10.

I think the furthest I have towed is about an hour away. I need to put an additional tranny cooler on this spring if i decide to tow it alot.

Oh, and I have an 01 X-Star on tandem.

Hey Jay, where do you live? We've got a sierra and xterra in our driveway too, along with a non-standard boat (MB)...kooky.

There's someone I've seen twice pulling a 23 LSV without a problem.
