I keep on thinking of how it would be to board all year long. I'm always looking at Realtor.com to see what type of house I could get without breaking the bank.

http://www.realtor.com/realestateandhomes-detail/Orlando_FL_32832_1102166556

If I moved to this house, maybe I could hook up with Darren Shapiro!

Now is the time to buy if you can afford to.

Talk to Nick Tomsyck, hes another yankee that got the bug to live in Fl as well. He has come down here in the winter and rode while all of us here are huddled up around the fireplace.

Oops, there's been a glitch!
We're sorry. This glitch is likely temporary, so please go back and try again

.

thats not a house, thats a room in a box

sidekicknicholas 02-19-2009 1:49 PM

You could be Will Christien's neighbor for not much more...

BRAND NEW houses on Lake Rochelle (33881)... 4 bed/3 bath, ~2400 ft^2, right on the lake, quite neighborhood, 40 min from Orlando, 1 hr to Tampa, 1 hr 15 min to Cocoa.... the lake usually only has Will on it, never have to fight for water... they are asking like 230k...but I got a call from the realtor and they said they are taking any reasonable offer... No doubt in my mind you could get it for 200k.... hard to be that.

lseghatch 02-19-2009 2:20 PM

That is a steal.... runs out to go buy lotto tickets

ncsuuh 02-19-2009 2:40 PM

Nick, do you have a link to that house you are talking about?

sidekicknicholas 02-19-2009 2:45 PM

This is the building company that has built the subdivision
http://adamshomes.com/index.cfm?webID=425

I have the number of one of the realtors too if you would like.... PM me or something

madison_boarder 02-19-2009 3:14 PM

Damnit houses are cheap in Florida. I could get something on the water here in Madison for say... 700k

sidekicknicholas 02-19-2009 3:18 PM

You can come 1hr 20 min north... older "cabin" houses on our lake go for like 200k... big fancy nice ones ~+650k....and everything in between,
actually our neighbor is selling there house.

... could use a weekend house eh?

madison_boarder 02-19-2009 4:39 PM

We need a regular house first... Just need Dr. Wife to start raking in the big bucks :-P

wakeriderixi 02-19-2009 4:39 PM

It's not that Florida is cheap, it's that Orlando can get old after awhile. Try some other waterfront areas.

sidekicknicholas 02-19-2009 5:14 PM

wouldn't that be nice.
If you're ever up around Wisco Rapids and need a pull look me up.

madison_boarder 02-19-2009 9:07 PM

And if you're in Madison and like a steep wake, I can give you a pull behind the old grandfather of your Super Sport :-)

lakemiltonwake08 02-20-2009 5:13 AM

Orlando gets old after while? Try Ohio, if nothing else bothers you here, the weather is guaranteed to shake you.
I also plan on moving into the Orlando area in 2 years after I finish up college, granted everything comes together. But I can assure you if it's not Orlando, It's somewhere south of Ohio.
I'll go in on rent with someone

bawllaoutacontrol 02-20-2009 6:23 AM

orlando is incredible! there are lakes lakes lakes and more lakes and its february and the water temp was 71 last saturday. its around 65 now and the air temp is 60 today but its gonna be 70 tomorrow. cant beat it

sidekicknicholas 02-20-2009 10:25 AM

You want lakes?
I'm in the same boat... just have to graduate, convince the wifey to move there and I'll leave Wisconsin behind no questions asked.

*Nearly all of the lakes are connected by canals, no matter the wind you can get to a lake with calm shores

joeshmoe 02-20-2009 12:01 PM

where are the public boat ramps?
buy a trailer home for $10,000

lakemiltonwake08 02-20-2009 12:28 PM

Orlando, Winter Haven and Clermont all look like nice areas. It's a little bit hard to find something for rent with a boatslip though. When I'm down in April I'll probably do some researching.

slax303 02-21-2009 11:44 AM

Yeah my girlfriend is trying to get me to move to Orlando in August. We're heading down there for a long weekend on march 6th so Im pumped for that, but Im not quite sure Im ready to move down there. I love it down there, but there's just not a whole lot of boat sales opportunities right now.
