CW-385 vs. 2012 Ronix One Timebomb

I sold my board and now I'm looking at new ones. Originally I had my mind stuck on a timebomb, now I'm wondering if I shouldn't buy a phalanax. What do you guys think? I have no way to test ride either otherwise I would.

OK, how about some info about how you ride what you do and do not like...

Well, I haven't ridden much besides my One I just sold, I want a fast board with good pop and heard the new shape was faster than ever. I don't like super narrow boards because my feet are big.

I have not been on the new One shape, but I do have a CW-385. The CW is fast, if you ride with all three fins its a very locked in feel. If you like a looser feel you can ride it with just the outer fins, and it will be more forgiving. Either way, when you put it on edge it locks in and will carry you through the wake with consistent pop. And the urethane sidewalls are pretty much indestructible, so you can beat the crap out of it. If you hit rails or obstacles the Infinite base will take a beating, so you dont need a second board for the cable or winching. Its really an awesome board man. I will PM you my contact info, feel free to contact me if you have any questions!

The cw will be much faster than the one, the one will never be a really fast deck. Danny's decks are never fast, that's exactly why I got off the one.

board

Why did you sell the One?

bmock50 03-16-2012 11:31 PM

Technically I traded it, and the only reason I did was because I had an opportunity to get a new board at not much cost to me after the trade. I loved that board but I'm always looking at the new stuff in envy, so I figured why not haha

im interested in both these boards, but decided that because i ride in rough water, the phalanx's continuous rocker would be better, as speed helps with pop and waves kill speed lol SO since i am a college student and have no money, are there any places online where i could find a new year old cw385?

i dont know that you will find a CW-385 thats used/discounted right now, the first batch just released recently and is almost sold out. Hit me up on PM if you are interested though, I will see what I can do for you.
