I have a 07 Sanger v215. I pulled up to the lake yesterday and noticed my brakes were smoking. It had to have happened close to the lake because I really didn't feel it pulling me.

Anyway I took advantage of the early morning glass and went in the afternoon to fix it and I cannot get the cable back in place. I just disconnected the brake line and drained the brake fluid and towed the boat home.

Does anyone here know how to reset the cable so the brakes aren't engaged? I appreciate the help.

Under your swing away tongue should be a lever that you have to push to relieve the pressure in the actuator.

What you should really be concerned with is how your brakes became engaged in the first place.

I once let a buddy of mine hook the boat up. When he put the swing away in the set position he pinched the brake line which caused the brakes to lock up. It may have bee that.
