Having worked in healthcare in the past - hospitals are the biggest insurance fraudsters on the planet.

Believe or not, the leading Republican candidate for Governor in Florida is an ousted CEO of a healthcare provider that defrauded medicare and was leveled well over a billion in penalties.

How true. My wife has been receiving antibiotic home infusion services (i.e. they deliver antibiotics and supplies) from a major hospital. We thought at first it was self pay (another topic) and we were paying about $350 a week for a couple months. When I saw my insurance company was paying the bills, I called and asked for a detailed account of all billing and supplies. They gave me next to nothing but haven't asked for a dime in the last 4 months.

Getting an itemized receipt for something you pay $350 a week for is next to impossible. But apparently asking for one sure changed their strategy.
