LF wakeboards with different brand bindings???

What is the deal with the new LF wakeboards? Are you able to use different brand boots with the newer LF boards? I have 2011 Watson w/cells but I’m hearing the newer LF’s you can’t interchange them due to a new system? Can anyone elaborate?

My son is using 2012 Ronix Ones with his 2012 Watson Hybrid board with the Ronix binding hardware. Maybe it is the new 6mm screws that LF is using on their 2012 boards that they mentioned. Just make sure the binding hardware you use is 6mm and it should be fine.

Thanks! I have a friend who I recommended the LF with the Cells as I have so I wanted to make sure first!

The new LF hardware is Metric. If you purchase a 2012 LF board is should come with the new M6 hardware

The new LF boards come with metric screws and the new bindings should come with imperial, or metric and imperial screws to suit other boards. Swap out the thumb screws on the cells for the LF screws but keep the washer with the teeth that hold the angle of the boot.

Same scenario, riding ronix ones on a 2012 LF Shane Hybrid. Just never fit well in LF bindings but thinking about giving them a second try.
