Looking for the right board
I am getting back into wakesurfing this year and want some info on a new board. I use to ride about 5 yrs ago on a cwb ride and I also have about a 5 yr old walker project board. I am 6'4 210 and consider myself a intermediate skill level rider. When I use to ride I thought the ride was very stable but I seemed to get bored after 5-10 minutes, the walkerproject seemed to fast/slippery to me.
Thanks |
Try a Phase 5 Colt.Good down the line speed and a locked in feel.

Try changing the fins on the walker and spend some time on it. If you plan to get serious about surfing you will be happy with the extra speed once your skills grow to match the performance of the board.

sounds your ready for the next level board ....... if you really want to learn to ride a true surf style and want a board with unlimited potential then get yourself a Mendonesia Half Moon Board!! Quad Fin Board with the ability to get Huge Airs and Rotations ..... there is alot more to riding then just going fast straight!!

Can't go wrong with a hand shaped lightweight board custom sized properly for you...if you get something that properly sized for your weight - say 4'10" x 21" with multiple fin options, you can create more drag or loosen the board up as needed with a quad or twin configuration.
