Storing board / boots / vest without the stink

I moved to small downtown Minneapolis condo not long ago and with spring / summer coming up I am curious on how people store their gear and avoid the stink of their gear? I am use to leaving it all in the boat so it was never an issue.

We have a storage locker in the basement I could put it in, but then our stuff there and other people's stuff might get the "wet neoprene" stink and I would feel bad doing that.... we also have a balcony I could put it on, but the balcony isn't very big so it would kill our small outdoor space.

Any tips or tricks for storing this stuff close to where you eat, sleep, and live without having to smell it all the time?

thanks!

I usually wipe my stuff down after riding with just simple soap/water and then store indoors in a room I have upstairs with all of my wake gear. I haven't had any problems with my stuff smelling bad. I think the key is getting gear into a clean, cool place indoors.

Just hang it on the balcony until its dry and then put the stuff in the storage locker. Another way to dry things quick is to leave it in your car with the windows cracked, it gets good and hot and the funk escapes. But thats just me, I like the smell of neoprene, bindings and ass water mix.

I like it too!
The Mrs. and those who have storage lockers near ours, probably not so much.

I put a clothes rack in my garage. Hang em up in the heat and they'll dry right out. Boards are on some bike hangers.

We have a big shared underground parking garage .... but the condo association doesn't allow anything but cars in there

hang em on the shower curtain rod then for a bit then wherever. Once they are dry they shouldn't mold or stink up

a buddy of mine built some boot fans out of some computer fans. they work great. if you have an electric fan of any kind i am sure you could use it to speed the process. dryer sheets in the boots can sometimes make them smell nice... on a second thought, i am not sure what the long-term chemical exposure will do to the boot materials if anything. i use the sheets AFTER they have been through the dryer actually

Haha, I actually have a surplus of them now from a work project's scraps.
